A method can include vapor depositing a corrosion resistant coating to internal and external surfaces of a metallic air data probe. For example, vapor depositing can include using atomic layer deposition (ALD). The method can include placing the metallic air data probe in a vacuum chamber and evacuating the vacuum chamber before using vapor deposition. The corrosion resistant coating can be or include a ceramic coating. In certain embodiments, vapor depositing can include applying a first precursor, then applying a second precursor to the first precursor to form the ceramic coating.

A corrosion-resistant dry film lubricant composition includes a lubricating pigment, a binder, and a solvent. The lubricating pigment comprises graphene platelets and is dispersed in the binder, and the solvent solubilizes the lubricant pigment and the binder. The graphene platelets are oxidized and functionalized with a silane. A method of producing a corrosion-resistant lubricant includes oxidizing exfoliated graphene to produce oxidized graphene platelets, functionalizing the oxidized graphene platelets with a silane to produce functionalized graphene platelets, and dispersing the functionalized graphene platelets in a lubricant composition, wherein the lubricant composition comprises a binder and a solvent.

A method of making an assembly is disclosed. According to the method, a curable sealant is applied to a metal surface of a first article, and the curable sealant and first article are stored under conditions to maintain the curable sealant in an at least partially uncured state. The method further includes contacting the curable sealant on the first article metal surface with an electrically conductive surface of a second article, and curing the curable sealant.

A body structurally supports the insert and provides one of the housing or actuating member. The body is constructed from a second thermoplastic material molded about the insert and including short reinforcing fibers.

A gas turbine engine fuel system includes a fuel tank for storing fuel, a heat exchanger through which the fuel from the fuel tank can pass, a fuel pump located downstream from the heat exchanger for pumping the fuel, a fuel metering unit for metering the fuel pumped by the fuel pump, an additive tank for storing a fuel additive, an additive delivery subsystem for mixing the fuel additive with the fuel at or before the heat exchanger to generate a fuel and fuel additive mixture, and a combustor located downstream of the fuel metering unit where the fuel and fuel additive mixture is delivered for combustion. The fuel additive comprises a fuel stabilizer for reducing fuel coking.

A thermoplastic molding composition which features improved dimensional stability and low gloss is disclosed. The composition which contains (A) a first grafted rubber having a weight average particle size of 0.05 to 0.30 microns, (B) a second grafted rubber having a weight average particle size of 0.31 to 1.00 microns, (C) vinyl chloride (co) polymer, and, optionally, (D) styrene copolymer, is especially suitable for extruding profiles. In a preferred embodiment, at least one of the grafted rubbers is characterized in that its substrate features a core-shell structure, wherein the core contain at least one crosslinked vinylaromatic polymer, and the shell is elastomeric.
