A barrier includes a housing having an exterior surface and an interior surface, the exterior surface having a front face and an opposing back face each extending between a top face and an opposing bottom face and also between a first side face and an opposing second side face, the interior surface bounding a chamber that is adapted to receive a ballast. An elongated first locking groove is recessed on the front face and extends between the top face and the opposing bottom face, the first locking groove including an elongated channel extending between the top face and the bottom face and a constricted mouth through which the channel can be accessed.

A barrier assembly includes a barrier having a chamber adapted to hold a ballast, an inlet being formed on the barrier in communication with the chamber. A flag assembly includes a post having a first end and an opposing second end with a flag disposed on the first end. A retainer is disposed on the post and includes a catch radially outwardly projecting from the post, the catch being movable between an outwardly extended position and an inwardly retracted position, the catch resiliently urging toward the extended position when in the retracted position, the first end of the post being received within the inlet on the barrier so that the catch is disposed within the chamber in the extended position, the catch being configured so that the first end of the post cannot be pulled out through the inlet without moving the catch to the retracted position.

A method of manufacturing a barrier assembly includes: forming a barrier inside a mold using a polymeric material; removing the formed barrier from the mold while the barrier is still warm; inserting an elongated coupler into a passage on the barrier while the barrier is still warm, the coupler including a shaft and a securing member outwardly projecting from the shaft, the passage having a constricting portion, the warm constricting portion of the barrier pliably bending as the securing member passes throughthrough; and allowing the formed barrier to cool and harden, the hardened constricting portion of the barrier preventing or limiting the securing member of the connector from passing back through the constricting portion of the passage.

Stand barricade

A barrier includes a housing having an interior surface and an opposing exterior surface extending between a first end and an opposing second end, the interior surface bounding a chamber that is adapted to receive a ballast. A coupler is rigidly connected to the first end of the housing, the housing and the coupler being separate discrete members that are connected together after formation. A structure, such as an opening or a post, is formed on the coupler for removably connecting a separate barrier to the coupler.

Control barrier

A barrier assembly includes a barrier having an interior surface and an opposing exterior surface extending between a first end and an opposing second end. The interior surface bounds a chamber that is adapted to receive a ballast. The barrier also has an internal sidewall extending between top and bottom surfaces of the barrier so as to bound a passage extending completely through the barrier between the top and bottom surfaces. The barrier assembly also includes an elongated coupler extending down through the passage and projecting below the bottom surface of the barrier. A means for securing the coupler within the passage is formed on or attached to the coupler. The means for securing the coupler within the passage prevents the coupler from being removed from the passage while allowing the coupler to freely rotate within the passage.

Low profile barriers having attached molded pins

A barrier includes a housing having a front wall and an opposing back wall each extending between opposing sidewalls. The housing also includes a floor and an interior surface bounding a chamber, the chamber communicating externally through an inlet opening. A first inset projects into the chamber from the front wall so as to form a recessed pocket on the front wall. A second inset projects into the chamber from the back wall so as to form a recessed pocket on the back wall. The first inset and the second inset are connected together within the chamber so that the chamber encircles the connection.

A control barrier includes a barrier wall having a front face and an opposing back face each extending between a top end and an opposing bottom end, a first recess being formed on the front face at the bottom end of the barrier wall. A first slot extends through the barrier wall from the first recess to the back face. A first foot coupled with the barrier wall and being movable between a first position wherein the first foot is at least partially disposed within the recess of the barrier wall and a second position wherein the first foot is rotated a least 45&#xb0; relative to the first position and is removably positioned within the slot extending through the barrier wall.

A barrier includes a housing having a front wall and an opposing back wall each extending between opposing sidewalls. The housing also includes a floor and an interior surface bounding a chamber, the chamber communicating externally through an inlet opening. A first inset projects into the chamber from the front wall so as to form a recessed blind pocket on the front wall. A second inset projects into the chamber from the back wall so as to form a recessed blind pocket on the back wall. The first inset and the second inset are connected together within the chamber so that the chamber encircles the connection.

A control barrier includes a barrier wall having a front face and an opposing back face each extending between a top end and an opposing bottom end, a first recess being formed on the front face at the bottom end of the barrier wall. A first slot extends through the barrier wall from the first recess to the back face. An elongated first leg is coupled with the barrier wall so that the first leg can selectively rotate and can selectively slide. A first foot is mounted on the elongated first leg, the first foot being selectively movable between a first position wherein the first foot is at least partially disposed within the recess of the barrier wall and a second position wherein the first foot is rotated a least 45&#xb0; relative to the first position and is removably positioned within the slot extending through the barrier wall.
