Various embodiments are directed to systems and methods for utilizing Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) sensors to facilitate loading and unloading of assets into receptacles. The LIDAR sensors may be configured to detect the location of various surfaces (e.g., asset surfaces) within a receptacle such that mapping data indicative of the location of the detected surfaces may be generated. This mapping data may facilitate a determination of a total volume of unoccupied space within the receptacle and/or the identification of an unoccupied volume sufficient to accommodate an item having defined dimensions. The mapping data may additionally be indicative of the location of asset identifiers disposed on one or more detected surfaces to facilitate locating a particular asset associated with a provided asset identifier.

Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities are provided for standardizing addresses and providing information associated with geographic areas/points of interest. For example, location data can be collected for serviceable points. From the collected location data, addresses can be standardized, location-based searches can be performed, correct locations of serviceable points can be confirmed, and geographic representations can be generated.

Various embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer program products for providing improved augmentation for GPS calculations. In general, various embodiments of the invention involve using a plurality of GPS devices associated with stationary objects associated with a common carrier's delivery network and the common carrier's delivery fleet to calculate error corrections and to communicate these error corrections to a number of GPS enable devices to be used by these devices to augment GPS calculations to correct errors associated with GPS signals. Further, various embodiments of the invention involve collecting GPS data for a plurality of delivery routes traveled by the common carrier's delivery fleet. In particular embodiments, this collected data may be used to provide more accurate address information for locations along these delivery routes and more accurate renderings of various landscapes along these delivery routes.

Various embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer program products for identify the probability of a particular attribute being located along a segment of interest for a driving route. In general, various embodiments of the invention involve representing the segment of the driving route by patterns of speed variations obtained from GPS elements along the segment of the driving route and using the representation as input for functions representing various types of attributes to determine the probability of a particular type of attribute existing along the segment of the driving route.

Various embodiments provide a data governance and licensing system for monitoring usage of tracking data associated with transport of a plurality of packages and for facilitating licensing arrangements in connection therewith. In certain embodiments, the system comprises: one or more memory storage areas containing a variety of data and one or more computer processors. The one or more computer processors are configured to: receive observed data associated with access of tracking data by at least one accessing party; analyze at least a portion of the observed data to determine identification data for the accessing party; compare the identification data and the authorized user data to determine whether the accessing party is an authorized party; determine whether one or more discrepancies exist between the observed data and either generic usage data or authorized user data; and if so, generate either a license proposal or a license revision request.
