A vehicle door trim panel has a vehicle interior-facing A-side and a vehicle door structure-facing B-side. The vehicle door trim panel includes a pocket portion that includes a side portion and a wall portion that surrounds and extends outward from the pocket portion. The wall portion has a first portion. The B-side of the first portion of the wall portion is concave and faces generally vehicle-downward. A thickness of the first portion of the wall portion is less than a thickness of the pocket portion adjacent to the first portion of the wall portion.

Vehicle door trim panel

A trim attachment system for a vehicle is provided herein. The trim attachment system includes first and second vehicle surfaces. A first fastener may be coupled to the first vehicle surface and may be configured for releasable engagement with a second fastener that is coupled to the second vehicle surface. Each of the first and second fasteners may include a substrate and a plurality of engaging stems protruding outward from the substrate. The plurality of engaging stems may be arranged into rows and columns on the substrate. The first fastener may be configured to be coupled to the second fastener, such that the plurality of engaging stems of the first fastener engage the plurality of engaging stems of the second fastener and the rows of the first fastener are generally perpendicular to the rows of the second fastener.

Trim attachment system

A lift assembly for a storage area includes a floor supported by a scissor mechanism, an actuator for raising the floor from a neutral position to an elevated position, a plurality of members attached to the floor, guide members within which the plurality of members move, and a detent movable between an extended position wherein a portion of the detent protrudes into the guide member and contacts one of the at least two members sufficient to resist movement of the at least two members and a retracted position wherein the at least two members freely move within the guide members. The floor is movable between a non-extended position and a fully extended position when the scissor mechanism and the floor are in the neutral position, the elevated position, or any position between the neutral and elevated positions, and may be removed from the assembly.

A carrier assembly for a vehicle extendable sun visor includes a track element defining a channel, a compression spring disposed within the channel, and a carrier slidably received within the channel, the carrier including a spring plate detent. A first compression spring end may contact a first track element end and a second, opposed compression spring end may contact the carrier. The track element includes a detent aperture for engaging the spring plate detent. The spring plate detent may include a pin for engaging the detent aperture. An arm is slidably received within the carrier and the track element. Extendable sun visor assemblies including the carrier assembly are described.

A lift assembly for a utility vehicle storage area includes a floor supported by a scissor mechanism, an actuator for raising the scissor mechanism and the floor from a neutral position to an elevated position, a plurality of rollers attached to the floor, guide members attached to the scissor mechanism and within which the plurality of rollers move, and a detent protruding into one of the guide members to resist rotation of at least one of the plurality of rollers and create a pivot point about which the floor rotates to a pivoted position. The floor may be rotated to the pivoted position from the neutral position, the elevated position, or any position between the neutral and elevated positions. In addition, the floor may be removed from the assembly by passing the first and second pairs of rollers through the cutouts in the guide members.

A replacement locator tab is provided for a headliner. That replacement locator tab includes a locator portion and a headliner mounting portion. An adhesive film is provided on a face of the headliner mounting portion. A removable protective film overlies the adhesive film. A headliner incorporating the locator tab is also disclosed as is a method of repairing a headliner in a motor vehicle.

An air curtain assembly includes a side air curtain having a top edge and being inflatable from an uninflated position to an inflated position. In the uninflated position, the side air curtain extends along a longitudinal axis. A first flap is attached to the top edge and an elongated flap is attached to the first flap. The elongated flap extends from the first flap at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis. As such, as the air curtain inflates from the uninflated position to the inflated position, the elongated flap is disposed between the side air curtain and a side roof rail of the vehicle to limit or prevent abrasion of the side air curtain as the side air curtain is inflated.

A vehicle storage drawer includes a frame and a housing slidably attached to the frame with a central aperture defining a receptacle. At least one container is selectively engaged with the receptacle. The at least one container is selectively removable from the receptacle when the housing is in an outward position. The container is selectively secured within the receptacle when the housing is in an inward position.

A trim panel assembly for a vehicle incorporates a flat panel speaker. The trim panel defines an interior surface of a passenger compartment of the vehicle and has a speaker aperture with a peripheral edge. A diaphragm panel is disposed in the speaker aperture with a trim face and a rear face. A flexible surround joins the diaphragm panel to the aperture edge so that the diaphragm panel is movable along an axis of the speaker aperture and so that vibrations from the diaphragm panel to the trim panel are damped. An exciter receives audio signals for reproduction. The exciter has an actuator suspended in a housing. The actuator is fixed to the rear face of the diaphragm panel. A support bracket spans the speaker aperture and has first and second ends affixed to a rear side of the trim panel and an intermediate point affixed to the housing of the exciter.

An overhead console assembly for a vehicle includes a plurality of interchangeable storage bin modules each defining at least receivers and a differently sized or shaped storage bin or holder. An overhead console is provided, defining a storage cavity adapted to receive the plurality of storage bin modules. The assembly further includes pins including a first end adapted to be received in the overhead console and a second end adapted to be received in one of the receivers. Each of the interchangeable storage bin module differently sized or shaped storage spaces is independently configured to hold a different item. One of the pin first ends includes a gear for interfacing with a dampener. Another of the pin first ends is associated with a biasing member adapted to apply a closing force to a one of the interchangeable storage bins held in the overhead console storage cavity.

A vehicle is provided. The vehicle includes a load floor. The load floor is movable from a closed position to an open position in order to provide access to a storage cavity thereunder. A spring-loaded retractable device is attached to the load floor. The spring-loaded retractable device is configured to extend from the load floor and secure the load floor to the vehicle in the open position.

A cargo shade or cover for a vehicle includes a thin flexible member that winds onto an elongated roller. The elongated roller may be mounted on a movable vehicle component such as a liftgate of an SUV. An elongated rod assembly is attached to the thin flexible member, and includes extending and retracting end portions that can be received in cavities or other connectors of the vehicle interior to retain the cover in an extended position. The rod assembly may include center housing and a pulley that can be rotated to generate tension on cables that pull the opposite ends of the rod inwardly whereby the rod assembly can be positioned between vehicle interior components when the cover assembly is in the retracted position.

A trim panel is mounted to a structural member of an automotive vehicle via a fastener. The trim panel includes an opening in registration with the fastener. An integrated cover and hook fills at least a portion of the opening and permits and occupant to hang an item within the vehicle.
