Wellbore apparatus has been invented which, in at least certain aspects, includes a wellbore apparatus having a tubular member with a top end, a bottom end, a hollow portion, and a window therethrough, a sleeve positioned within the hollow portion of the tubular member, the sleeve having a top end and a bottom end, a diverter apparatus within or outside the tubular member and, optionally, below the bottom end of the sleeve, the sleeve movable so that the diverter, and the diverter directs the sleeve to the window and through the window into a bore extending beyond the window, and the window having an edge therearound to which the top end of the sleeve is weldable to sealingly secure the sleeve at the window

Wellbore liner system

A through tubing retrievable whipstock and installation method is disclosed. In the preferred embodiment, a plurality of anchor links pivot at one end and have wickers on an opposed rounded end. The links are configured to deliver an optimum contact angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the whipstock in a variety of casing sizes and weights. A lock ring system holds the set position and the upper end is hinged and biased to stay out of the way of the mill or mills and yet be easy to engage by a retrieving tool.

Small tubular window system

An apparatus and method for guiding a fish into engagement with a latch mechanism on a fishing tool, by hydraulically expanding the ends of a set of fingers into contact with a bore hole. The ends of the fingers surround the fish and guide the fish and the latch mechanism together, as the tool is lowered, until the latch mechanism latches onto the fish.

Wellbore apparatus has been invented which, in at least certain aspects, includes a wellbore apparatus having a tubular member with a top end, a bottom end, a hollow portion, and a window therethrough, a sleeve positioned within the hollow portion of the tubular member, the sleeve having a top end and a bottom end, a diverter apparatus within or outside the tubular member amd, optionally, below the bottom end of the sleeve, the sleeve movable so that the diverter, and the diverter directs the sleeve to the window and through the window into a bore extending beyond the window, and the window having an edge therearound to which the top end of the sleeve is weldable to sealingly secure the sleeve at the window.

New wellbore milling systems and methods of their use have been developed, the milling system in one aspect including at least one mill, at least one stabilizing member connected to and above the at least one mill, and the at least one stabilizing member for maintaining position of the at least one mill for milling through the liner into the main wellbore. In certain aspects multiple spaced-apart stabilizers are used above a mill which, in one aspect, may include one or more reaming stabilizers. In one aspect the lowermost stabilizer is spaced-apart from a mill so that the stabilizer does not enter a bend portion of a liner to be milled until milling has commenced.

A wellbore flow diverter has been invented that, in certain aspects, has a housing with a main bore therethrough for fluid flow and a diverter bore therethrough for diverted fluid flow, the diverter bore in fluid communication with the main bore, internal apparatus including a spindle with a portion thereof within the housing, the internal apparatus for selectively closing off the main bore, at least one securement apparatus for releasably holding the internal apparatus in the housing, and remote control system operatively interconnected with and for remotely controlling the at least one securement apparatus in the housing.
