The present disclosure is directed to a composition for managing exaggerated sebum production in oily-prone skin, the composition containing: (1) a mixture of at least: (a) from about 0.02 to about 1% by weight of an ingredient capable of activating cannabinoid type-2 receptors ('CB'); (b) from about 0.1 to about 3% by weight of a blend ofandalgae extracts; (c) from about 0.1 to about 4% by weight of an extract of; and (d) from about 0.01 to about 0.05% by weight of an extract of Tulsi, wherein all weights are based on total weight of the composition; (2) optionally, an emulsifier; and (3) a dermatologically acceptable carrier, wherein the composition has a pH ranging from about 4.5 to about 5.5.

Skin care compositions and methods for regulating sebum production

Compositions intended for application onto human skin damaged by oxidative stress can include (1) a mixture of at least: (a) a leaf extract of; (b) a leaf extract of; (c) a leaf extract of; (d) optionally, a bark/seed extract of; (e) optionally, a blend of, andextracts; and (f) at least one humectant; (2) an emulsifier; and (3) a dermatologically acceptable carrier, wherein (a)-(f) are employed in amounts sufficient to synergistically neutralize existing free radicals present in the skin, while proactively priming the skin by repairing and/or protecting itswithout unduly impairing the's acid mantle, and wherein the composition is natural, free of a skin-sensitizing amount of an essential oil, and has a pH ranging from about 4.5 to about 5.5.

Natural skin care compositions and methods for treating oxidative stress and restoring skin health

The present disclosure is directed to a composition intended for application onto human skin suffering from oxidative stress, the composition comprising: (1) a mixture of at least: (a) a leaf extract of; (b) a leaf extract of; (c) a leaf extract of; (d) optionally, a bark/seed extract of; (e) optionally, a blend of, andextracts; and (f) at least one humectant; (2) an emulsifier; (3) a dermatologically acceptable carrier; and (4) a film former, wherein (a)-(f) are employed in amounts sufficient to neutralize existing free radicals present in the skin, while proactively priming the skin in order to enhance its ability to protect itself against free radical aggression caused by exposome-induced oxidative stress and dry skin-inducing water loss, wherein the composition is natural and free of a skin sensitizing-effective amount of an essential oil.

Compositions intended for application onto human hair, skin, and/or nails can include an antimicrobial effective amount of a preservative system containing: (a) from about 2 to about 5% by weight of aferment; (b) from about 2 to about 5% by weight of awith or withoutferment; (c) from about 0.1 to about 0.5% by weight of at least one co-preservative ingredient chosen from salicylic acid and a salt of a weak acid; and (d) from about 1 to about 10% by weight of a petroleum-free propanediol, all weights based on the total weight of the composition, wherein the composition has a pH ranging from about 4.8 to about 5.5.

Preservative systems and compositions and methods incorporating same

The present disclosure is directed to a composition and method of enhancing skin health and appearance, as well as treating compromised skin, by applying onto the skin a composition containing a moisturizing/hydrating-effective amount of a mixture of at least: (a) an oil infusion ofextract; (b) an oil infusion ofextract; (c) an oil infusion ofextract; (d) an aqueous infusion ofextract; and (e) an aqueous infusion of at least oneextract chosen fromextract andextract; and an emulsifying-effective amount of a dermatologically-acceptable emulsifier, wherein the composition is natural and free of a skin sensitizing-effective amount of an essential oil.
