Detection of the congestion on a link based on an exchange of messages between a sender and a receiver, one sender and several receivers or several senders and one receiver. This equipment is connected to the ends of a transmission channel. One of the items of equipment is designated as the master and the others slaves. These exchanges are aimed at enabling the master to calculate and compare the rate of the data send and the rate of the data received. A divergence in the rates calculated reveals a congestion on the link. All these exchanges are made in the application layer and therefore do not involve the underlying layers.

Method and device for detecting congestion on a transmission link

In order to detect congestion on a transmission link, endpoint items of network equipment are associated with congestion-detection applications. Per class of service, one application sends to the other control messages indicating volumes of data transmitted by the concerned item of network equipment via the transmission link. On reception of the control messages, the other application obtains information on volumes of data received by the other item of network equipment. By determining a first divergence in volumes of data transmitted between two control messages and a second divergence in volumes of data received, between two control messages, this other application is able to detect a situation of congestion on the transmission link occurring for one or more classes of service, and to generate an alarm signal accordingly.

Method for managing congestion of a transmission link in a packet communication network

Each terminal wishing to access a communication service implemented in a communications network transmits an identifier of subscription to this service during a phase of registration () with the network. With each service subscription identifier is associated a call identifier to enable calling the terminal registered via the network. A system () intended to register at least one terminal () from amongst a plurality of terminals () in a telephony network includes means for dynamically changing the service subscription identifier () and the associated call identifier (), for at least one of said terminals, and means for re-registering () with said network each terminal for which the service subscription identifier and the associated call identifier have been dynamically changed.

A method for managing the service policy applied to a black network comprising a radio link and to a red network connected to this black network managed by a predetermined set of profiles is proposed. The congestion of the radio link is detected by any means by the black domain. The congestion of the radio link is detected by a method for detecting congestion which operates by means of exchanges within the red domain. A service policy profile then established matches for each domain to a detected congestion level.

Implicit reservation of resources in a point-to-multipoint or multi-point-to-multipoint network

A system for integrating mobile terminals into a private telecommunication system includes first and second servers respectively associated with a public mobile telecommunication system accessed by the mobile terminals and with the private telecommunication system. The servers enable setting up of incoming or outgoing calls relating to the mobile terminals and in accordance with a private numbering scheme specific to the private telecommunication system. They hold first and second service data relating to mobile terminal users. The first and second servers cooperate for setting up calls relating to the mobile terminals and/or managing service data.
