A duplex electrical cable fitting includes a connector body having a mounting member and a base member, a cover having a cover hook, and a locknut configured to engage with the mounting member. The mounting member has a mounting member sidewall extending between first and second open ends with the first and second open ends defining a cable passage therebetween. The base member has a cover engaging member, which defines a cover engaging hole. The base member is connected to the mounting member at the second open end and extends downwardly therefrom. The cover hook is movably connected to the base member via the cover engaging hole so as to allow the cover to be movable relative thereto between open and closed positions.

Duplex electrical cable fitting

A support bracket for an electrical connection box is used with metal furring channels in a ceiling. A central web has a first end hole, and a plurality of top holes arrayed longitudinally adjacent a second end for selective attachment to a second furring channel. A guide flange projects downward from the central web at the first end, and is placed directly against a first furring channel, to align the support bracket perpendicular to the channel. The guide flange is bent around the first furring channel. The guide flange receives a fastener through a guide hole, the first channel, and the first end hole. Right and left side mounting flanges project downward from the central web. The mounting flanges have a plurality of mounting holes arrayed longitudinally for attaching the electrical connection box. The mounting flanges are biased inwardly toward one another to receive the box for mounting between them and to support the box temporarily, for selective longitudinal and vertical placement of the electrical connection box during installation.

Support bracket for mounting octagonal boxes on furring channels

A shallow octagonal electrical box having a back wall and a stepped sidewall construction. The back wall includes at least first and second substantially flat sections connected by an intermediate section. The sidewall extends from the back wall to an open front and has an octagonal shape formed by eight sidewall sections. At least three contiguous sidewall sections have a first height and at least three of the other sidewall sections have a second height that is different from the first. At least one sidewall section has an opening or aperture adapted to provide a passage into the interior. The sidewall can have a hub or connector attached to the exterior surface around the opening/aperture. The sidewall can also have a knockout and a plurality of mounting apertures.

Shallow octagonal electrical box

A knockout structure for a wall of an electrical box includes a cutout that penetrates through the thickness of the wall to form a knockout on an interior of the cutout along a substantial perimeter of the knockout. The knockout structure also includes a first bridge section interrupting continuity of the cutout and maintaining a connection between the wall and the knockout. The knockout structure further includes a second bridge section interrupting continuity of the cutout and maintaining a connection between the wall and the knockout, the second bridge section being different than the first bridge section and on a same half of the perimeter of the knockout.

Knockout for electrical box

A field installable support bracket assembly for an electrical box, wherein the electrical box is to be secured to a side surface of a first structural stud. The field installable support bracket assembly includes a stud bracket and an adjustable back bracket. The stud bracket includes a stud bracket member configured to be secured to a front surface of a second structural stud, and a stud bracket guiding rib. The adjustable back bracket includes a mounting panel configured to be secured to a back of the electrical box, and a back bracket guiding rib. The back bracket guiding rib and the stud bracket are configured to join the stud bracket to the adjustable back bracket. The field installable support bracket assembly is configured to provide support for the electrical box.

Field installable support bracket assembly

An electrical box assembly includes an electrical box and a primary bracket. The primary bracket includes a first end panel for securing to a first surface of a stud; a second end panel for securing to a second surface of the stud and in a substantially parallel orientation to the first end panel; and mounting panel, joined to a first surface of the electrical box and located between the first end panel and the second end panel, the mounting panel having a length corresponding to a first stud depth. The primary bracket also includes an adaptation panel, between the mounting panel and the rear panel, having a length corresponding to a difference between the first stud depth and a second larger stud depth. The adaptation panel is selectively manipulated to position the front panel and the rear panel to accommodate either the first stud depth or the second stud depth.

Adjustable bracket for steel stud

A conduit body may include a body including a side and a bottom to form a cavity. The side of the body may include an outer surface and a recessed surface forming grooves. The conduit body may include a hub that includes an annular tube forming an opening to receive a cable. The body may be configured to receive the edges of the hub in the grooves such that movement of the hub in a linear direction may move the hub through the grooves to couple the hub to the body. When the hub is coupled to the body using the grooves, the conduit body may be configured to receive the cable through the annular tube of the hub and through the opening in the recessed surface into the cavity.

Configurable conduit body

An electrical box may include a top side and a bottom side that are connected to one another by panels. Each of the top side and bottom side may include a front portion with a side edge, a front edge and a back edge, a back portion with a side edge, a front edge and a back edge, and an angled portion connecting the front portion to the back portion, the back portion being offset with respect to the front portion. The angled portion may include a transition edge that joins the back edge of the front portion to the back edge of the back portion. The transition edge may provide for space for maneuvering the electrical box aligned to a wall stud in a wall assembly out of the wall assembly through a hole in a drywall of the wall assembly.
