An electronic device includes pixel regions and pixel spacing regions, and includes: a display layer disposed in the pixel regions and the pixel spacing regions, and including a liquid crystal material and a dye material; and reflective layers respectively disposed in the pixel regions, and at one side of the display layer. The display layer is in a scattering state under a non-display state, and light is scattered by the liquid crystal material and absorbed by the dye material when the light passes through the display layer. The display layer in the pixel regions is in a transmissive state and the display layer in the pixel spacing regions is in a scattering state under a display state, and light passes through the liquid crystal material and the dye material in the pixel regions and is reflected by the reflective layers when the light passes through the display layer.

Electronic device

An electronic device includes a scattering structure, a dimming structure and a controller. The dimming structure is arranged on the scattering structure. The controller is electrically connected to the dimming structure. The controller includes a first control unit, and the first control unit is provided to adjust the transmittance of the dimming structure.

An optical device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate; a first conductive layer disposed on the first substrate, wherein the first conductive layer includes a first surface and a third side surface connecting to the first surface; a second conductive layer disposed on the second substrate; a sealant disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer and having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer and locating at the first side of the sealant; and a barrier layer disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer and locating at the second side of the sealant, wherein at least part of the first surface and the third side surface are not covered by the barrier layer.

Optical device

An electronic window is provided for adjusting light and includes a first panel, a second panel, and an intermediate layer. The first panel includes a first alignment layer. The second panel includes a second alignment layer. The intermediate layer is disposed between the first panel and the second panel. The angle of orientation of the first alignment layer is between 25 degrees and 65 degrees, and the angle of orientation of the second alignment layer is between 115 degrees and 155 degrees.

Electronic window and method for forming the same

Provided is an electronic device including a first liquid crystal layer having a first side and a second side opposite thereto; a second liquid crystal layer disposed on the first liquid crystal layer and having a third side and a fourth side opposite thereto; a first alignment layer disposed on the first side and having a first alignment direction; a second alignment layer disposed on the second side and having a second alignment direction opposite to the first alignment direction; a third alignment layer disposed on the third side and having a third alignment direction; and a fourth alignment layer disposed on the fourth side and having a fourth alignment direction opposite to the third alignment direction. The second alignment layer is between the first liquid crystal layer and the third alignment layer. The third alignment layer is between the second liquid crystal layer and the second alignment layer.

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate, a gate line disposed on the second substrate, an electrode layer disposed on the second substrate, and a light shielding portion disposed at a side of the first substrate facing the second substrate. The electrode layer includes a first electrode portion and a second electrode portion. The gate line is disposed between the first electrode portion and the second electrode portion. A projection area of the light shielding portion projected on the second substrate is overlapped with the gate line, and the projection area has a first side and a second side. The first electrode portion has a third side and a fourth side. The third side is disposed away from the gate line, and the first side is disposed between the third side and the fourth side.

Liquid crystal display device

A display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first metal layer, a first insulation layer disposed on the first metal layer, a second metal layer, a second insulation layer disposed on the second metal layer, a pixel electrode layer and an intervening layer. The first metal layer is disposed on the first substrate to form a signal wiring and a gate. The second metal layer is disposed on the first insulation layer to form a data wiring, a source and a drain. The intervening layer is a patterned layer and disposed between the second insulation layer and the pixel electrode layer. The pixel electrode layer covers the intervening layer and the second insulation layer, and the perimeter of the intervening layer of a sub-pixel ranges between 500 &#x3bc;m and 30000 &#x3bc;m.

Display panel and display apparatus

The disclosure provides a display device. The pixel electrode of the display device includes a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode having the same electric potential. The first interlayer is formed between the first substrate and the first pixel electrode. Adjacent two of the first strip-shaped branches of the first interlayer form a first gap to expose part of the first substrate. The common electrode layer is disposed over the second substrate. The pixel electrode is positioned between the first substrate and the display medium layer. The first pixel electrode extends to cover the first gap. A difference between a maximum distance between the first pixel electrode and the common electrode layer and a maximum distance between the second pixel electrode and the common electrode layer is 0.1 &#x3bc;m to 0.4 &#x3bc;m.

Display device

A liquid-crystal display includes a first substrate including several sub-pixels. A micro-structure layer is formed on the first substrate, and the micro-structure layer corresponding to one of the sub-pixels includes a first main trunk portion, a second main trunk portion crossed the first main trunk portion, and several striped branch portions. The striped branch portions are connected with the first and second main trunk portions, wherein an angle is formed between the striped branch portions and the first main trunk portion, and the striped branch portions are alternately arranged with a pitch. A first electrode layer is conformally formed on the micro-structure layer. Specifically, the pitch in one of the sub-pixels is different from the pitch in another one of the sub-pixels, or the angle in one of the sub-pixels is different from the angle in another one of the sub-pixels.
