A composition contains glycolipids and triethyl citrate (TEC). The TEC can assist in stabilizing a foam of a corresponding aqueous composition. A method can be used for preparing a corresponding formulation, preferably a cosmetical or pharmaceutical formulation, by providing the composition and diluting the composition. The pH of the composition may be adjusted during the dilution by adding an organic or inorganic base.

Mixture composition comprising glycolipids and triethyl citrate

The invention relates to a cosmetic or dermatological preparation, comprising: a) one or more chemical light protection filters selected from the group consisting of 2,4,6-Trianilino-p-(carbo-2'-ethylhexyl-1&#x2032;oxy)-1,3,5-triazine (ethylhexyl triazon), 1-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-propane-1,3-dion (butyl methoxydibenzoyl-methane), bisoctyloxyphenol-methoxyphenyl-triazine (bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine) and 2-[-4-(diethylamino)-2-hydroxybenzoyl]benzoic acid hexylester (diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate); and/or one or more light protection filters selected from the group consisting of superficially treated, or untreated, pigments of titanium dioxide or zinc oxide; b) at least one ester of a C8-C16-fatty acid and isoamyl alcohol.

Cosmetic or dermatological preparation

The present invention relates to cosmetic and/or dermatological compositions for the treatment of keratin containing substrates, comprising synergistic mixtures of modified starch polymers with defined molecular weights and cationic charges in a cosmetically acceptable medium. The synergistic mixtures of modified starches employed to manufacture compositions according to the present invention exhibit significant benefits over the existing modified starches employed according to the state-of-the-art in the treatment of keratin-containing substrates like human or animal hair, skin and nails. Another aspect of the present invention is the stabilization of the modified starch solutions used to manufacture the cosmetic and/or dermatological compositions according to the present invention against the growth of micro-organisms without traditional preservatives.
