A power distribution system that provides electric power to an electrical device and to an energy storage device. The system includes a rectifier connected to an alternating current mains network to provide a rectified sinusoidal voltage via power leads connected to a charging device that provides DC voltage to the energy storage device. In addition, the electrical device(s) are connected to the power leads and include a plurality of converters, each one being connected to at least one load. Each converter is connected to the power leads in order to supply a DC voltage to its respective load.

Electric power distribution system with battery backup

A converter device that transforms an input voltage (VE) into several output voltages (V1, . . . ,VN) includes a transformer (T), a first switching control device (PWM) that generates a first switching control signal (Q1) to control the switching of a first switching element (M1) and thereby regulate a main output of the converter, and a second switching control device (SDCC) that generates a second switching control signal (Q2) which is a function of both the first switching control signal (Q1) and of a second output voltage (V2). This second switching control signal (Q2) controls the switching of a second switching device (SDC) in order to regulate a second output voltage of the converter device.

Multi-output DC/DC power converter

A DC/DC conversion circuit of the type that implements the 'forward PWM' topology includes a DC/AC converter, a self-driven synchronous rectifier which rectifies the alternating voltage signal coming from the DC/AC converter, and a filter that filters the rectified signal, thereby obtaining the DC output voltage from the DC/DC conversion circuit. This DC/DC conversion circuit is characterized in that the DC/AC converter includes means to generate an alternating signal with a square waveform that does not take zero instantaneous values such that no current flows through the body diode of either of the transistors of the self-driven synchronous rectifier.
