The invention relates to a dental furnace, in particular a high-temperature dental furnace for oxide ceramics such as zirconium dioxide with sintering temperatures of between 1350&#xb0; C. and 1650&#xb0; C., having heating elements () which are intended to give off heating energy to a firing chamber () in the dental furnace (). The heating elements () are configured as electrical resistance heating elements and supported below the firing chamber () each by means of at least one heating element support foot (). The heating elements () extend vertically to the top starting from the heating element support feet () and at the top, end in an arch (), in particular in a semicircular arch or possibly in a pointed arch, without an upper lateral support, in particular not in the region of the arch ().

The invention relates to a dental furnace, in particular a high-temperature dental furnace for oxide ceramics such as zirconium dioxide having sintering temperatures of between 1300 and 1850&#xb0; C., comprising a heating element () which is intended to give off heating energy to the firing chamber. It is provided that the heating element () comprises at least two heating element sections () adjoining one another at a transition area () which is not current-carrying and/or which extends away laterally, that the transition area () is supported on a position, in particular on the free end, spaced apart from the electrical connections () on the dental furnace and carries at least the two adjoining parts of heating element sections ().

The invention concerns a process for the approach to an oriented relative position between a camera or scanning device and a dental assistance element (), in particular via an app on a smartphone, for recording the dental assistance element (), such as a miniature shade guide (). A mark () is attached to the dental assistance element (), and/or at least one part of the dental assistance element () is used as a mark (). A stencil () which is congruent with or mathematically similar to the mark () is displayed on a display device of the camera or scanning device. For the approach to the oriented relative position between the camera or scanning device and the dental assistance element, a modification of the degree of coverage of the stencil () with the mark () or the one part of the dental assistance element () is detected.

A dental furnace having closed or closeable firing chamber (), which is surrounded by thermal insulation () and which comprises at least one inlet terminal () and at least one outlet terminal (). Via said two terminals, a gas, especially air, may be passed through the firing chamber () and/or may be discharged from the firing chamber (), wherein a vacuum source () is provided, which is in direct or indirect communication with the outlet terminal () and via which the outlet terminal () may be set under vacuum pressure. At the outlet terminal (), an especially T-shaped or Y-shaped connector () is attached. The connector () comprises two entrance ports () and an exit (), wherein the exit () is in communication with the vacuum source () and a first entrance port is in communication with the firing chamber (), and especially is flange-mounted at the outlet terminal () thereof, and a second entrance port () is in communication with ambient air.
