A welded component having mechanical properties in a welding seam region comparable or better to those in the non-influenced base material via a method including producing a hot-rolled steel product made of a high-strength air-hardenable steel with a material thickness of at least 1.5 mm having a chemical composition by mass in one embodiment of: C: 0.03 to 0.4; Mn: 1.0 to 4.0; Si: 0.09 to 2.0; Al: 0.02 to 2.0; P<=0.1; S<=0.1; N: 0.001 to 0.5; Ti: 0.01 to 0.2; Cr: 0.05 to 2.0; B: 0.001 to 0.1; Mo: 0.01 to 1.0; V: 0.01 to 0.2; optionally: Ni: 0.02 to 1.0; Nb: 0.01 to 0.1; and residual iron including conventional steel-accompanying elements, subsequently air hardening the produced hot-rolled steel product, then deforming the hot-rolled steel product in the air-hardened state to form a component, and producing welding connections using a fusion welding process on the component.

The invention relates to a method for producing a component from a medium manganese flat steel product having 4 to less than 10 wt. % Mn, 0.0005 to 0.9 wt. % C, 0.02 to 10 wt. % Al, the remainder iron, including unavoidable steel-accompanying elements, and having a TRIP effect at room temperature. In order to produce a component, which is distinguished by very high strengths and an increased residual strain and re-shaping capacity, the flat steel product, according to the invention, is re-shaped by at least one re-shaping step to form a component and, before and/or during and/or after the at least one re-shaping step, the flat steel product is cooled down to a temperature of the flat steel product of less than room temperature to &#x2212;196&#xb0; C. The invention further relates to a component produced by this method and to a use for said components.

Method for producing a re-shaped component from a manganese-containing flat steel product and such a component

A steel product includes the following chemical composition in wt. %: C: 0.01 to &#x3c;0.3, Mn: 4 to &#x3c;10, Al: 0.003 to 2.9, Mo: 0.01 to 0.8, Si: 0.02 to 0.8, Ni: 0.005 to 3, P: &#x3c;0.04, S: &#x3c;0.02, N: &#x3c;0.02, with the remainder being iron including unavoidable steel-associated elements, wherein an alloy composition satisfies the equation 6&#x3c;1.5 Mn+Ni&#x3c;8; or the equation 0.11&#x3c;C+Al&#x3c;3, or an alloy composition contains, in addition to Ni, at least one or more of the elements, in wt. %, B: 0.0005 to 0.014; V: 0.006 to 0.1; Nb: 0.003 to 0.1; Co: 0.003 to 3; W: 0.03 to 2 or Zr: 0.03 to 1. The steel product has a microstructure of 2 to 90 vol. % austenite, less than 40 vol. % ferrite and/or bainite, with the remainder being martensite.

Medium-manganese steel product for low-temperature use and method for the production thereof

The invention relates to a method for producing a flat steel product made of a medium manganese steel having a TRIP/TWIP effect. The aim of the invention is to achieve an improvement in the yield strength when a sufficient residual deformability of the produced flat steel product is obtained. This aim is achieved by the following steps: cold rolling a hot or cold strip, annealing the cold-rolled hot or cold strip at 500 to 840&#xb0; C. for 1 minute to 24 hours, temper rolling or finishing the annealed hot or cold strip to form a flat steel product having a degree of deformability between 0.3% and 60%. The invention further relates to a flat steel product produced according to said method and to a use thereof.

Method for producing a flat steel product made of a manganese-containing steel, and such a flat steel product

The invention relates to a method for producing a component from a medium-manganese flat steel product with 4 to 12 wt % Mn, preferably more than 5 to less than 10 wt % Mn, and with TRIP/TWIP effect. In order to improve the degrees of deformation of the shaped component while at the same time reducing the forming forces, the invention proposes shaping the flat steel product into a component in a first shaping step at a temperature of the flat steel product of 60&#xb0; C. to below Ac3, preferably from 60&#xb0; C. to 450&#xb0; C. The invention also relates to a component produced according to said method and to a use for said components.

Method for producing an energy-storing container made of lightweight steel

A method is disclosed for producing components from an austenitic lightweight steel which is metastable in its initial state, by forming of a sheet, a circuit board or a pipe in one or more steps, exhibiting a temperature-dependent TRIP and/or TWIP effect during forming. To obtain a component with, in particular, high toughness, the forming is carried out at a temperature above room temperature, at 40 to 160&#xb0; C., which avoids the TRIP/TWIP effect, and to achieve in particular high component strength, the forming is carried out at a temperature below room temperature, at &#x2212;65 to 0&#xb0; C., which enhances the TRIP/TWIP effect.

Method for producing components from lightweight steel

A method for producing a workpiece having properties which are adjustable across a wall thickness or strip thickness of the workpiece, includes the steps of subjecting the workpiece to a decarburizing annealing treatment under an oxidizing atmosphere and to an accelerated cooling and/or a cold forming for generating a property gradient of the workpiece, wherein the workpiece is made of an austenitic lightweight steel which has an alloy composition which includes by weight percent 0.2% to 1% carbon, 0.05% to&#x3c;15% aluminum, 0.05% to 6.0% silicon, 9% to&#x3c;30% manganese, and at least one element selected from the group consisting of chromium, copper, boron, titanium, zirconium, vanadium and niobium, wherein chromium=4.0%; titanium+zirconium=0.7%; niobium+vanadium=0.5%, boron=1%, the remainder iron including common steel companion elements.

Method for producing workpieces from lightweight steel having material properties that are adjustable across the wall thickness

A component of an air-hardenable steel composed of (contents in mass %): C&#x3c;0.20; Al&#x3c;0.08; Si&#x3c;1.00; Mn 1.20 to &#x3c;2.50; P&#x3c;0.020; S&#x3c;0.015; N&#x3c;0.0150; Cr 0.30 to &#x3c;1.5; Mo 0.10 to &#x3c;0.80; Ti 0.010 to &#x3c;0.050; V 0.03 to &#x3c;0.20; B 0.0015 to &#x3c;0.0060, with the remainder being iron including the usual elements present in steel, is produced by heating a hot- or cold-rolled steel sheet or steel tube section to a temperature of &#x3b8;=800 to 1050&#xb0; C. and then forming the sheet or tube into a component in a forming tool. After removal from the tool, the component is cooled down in air while the component still has a temperature above &#x3b8;=200&#xb0; C. and below 800&#xb0; C. The component achieves the required mechanical properties during air-cooling.
