A vehicle communication network includes electronic control units arranged in a plurality of groups. The electronic control units pertaining to the same group are coupled to each other via a respective dedicated communication bus. A central controller is coupled to the plurality of local controllers. Electrical loads are coupled to one of the electronic control units. Each of the electronic control units is configured to decode the received CAN frame to produce the actuation signal for a respective electrical load in response to a CAN frame being received from the respective local controller and transmit a CAN wake-up frame to the respective local controller and encode the feedback signal into a CAN frame for transmission to the respective local controller in response to the feedback signal being received from the respective electrical load.

Vehicle communication network

An electronic module for generating light pulses includes an electronic card or interposer, a LASER-diode lighting module, and a LASER-diode driver module. The interposer has an edge recess in which the lighting module is completely inserted. The driver module is arranged on top of the interposer and the lighting module. The electrical connections for driving the LASER diodes are obtained without resorting to wire bonding in order to reduce the parasitic inductances.

Electronic module for generating light pulses for LIDAR applications and method for manufacturing the electronic module

A system includes lighting devices coupled to output supply pins, a microcontroller circuit, and a driver circuit, which receives data therefrom, and switches coupled in series to the lighting devices. The driver circuit includes output supply pins and selectively propagates a supply voltage to the output supply pins to provide respective pulse-width modulated supply signals at the output supply pins. The driver circuit computes duty-cycle values of the pulse-width modulated supply signals as a function of the data received from the microcontroller circuit. The lighting devices include at least one subset coupled to the same output supply pin. The microcontroller individually controls the switches via respective control signals to individually adjust a brightness of the lighting devices in the at least one subset of lighting devices.

Electronic system for driving light sources and method of driving light sources

An integrated device for driving a lighting load, such as a LED, has a first memory element, configured to store a nominal duty-cycle at a nominal supply voltage. An actual voltage acquisition element is configured to detect an actual supply voltage. A processing unit is coupled to the first memory element and to the actual voltage acquisition element and configured to calculate a voltage compensated duty-cycle. A driver unit is coupled to the processing unit and is configured to be supplied according to the voltage compensated duty-cycle.

Integrated device and method for driving lighting loads with a brightness compensation

A thermal control process for an electronic power device including a multi junction integrated circuit may include defining a first and at least one second groups of junctions, with each group including one first and at least one second junctions, and associating a thermal detector with each group. A first group control may be executed which detects group electric signals representative of the temperature detected by the thermal detectors, processes the group electric signals with reference to a group critical thermal event, identifies a critical group when the corresponding group electric signal detects the critical group thermal event, and generates group deactivating signals suitable for selectively deactivating the first and the at least one second junctions of the identified critical group with respect to the remaining junctions of the integrated circuit.

Thermal control process for a multijunction electronic power device and corresponding electronic power device

The power supply device comprises a supply transistor commanded by a command signal and providing electric power to a lighting module, and a driving means configured to selectively generate, depending on an instruction signal representative of the structure of said at least one lighting module, a first command signal able to command the supply transistor into an ohmic regime, a second command signal able to command the supply transistor into a pulse width modulation regime involving an alternation of ohmic regimes and blocked regimes, and a third command signal able to command the supply transistor into a saturated regime.

A fail-safe device may be coupled to a main device for actuating a switch responsive to a failure. The fail-safe device may include a fail-safe circuit, and an isolation trench surrounding the fail-safe circuit and isolating the fail-safe circuit from the main device. The fail-safe device may include an internal power supply connection, an internal reference voltage connection, a self-biased drive block configured to drive the at least one switch, and a receiver configured to receive failure signals from the main device.

An electrochrome element driver supplies electrical power to an electrochrome element and includes an amplifying circuit, a variable resistor element, and a capacitor. The amplifying circuit has a control input for controlling a supply current flow to the electrochrome element, a feedback input, and an output. The variable resistor element has a first resistor terminal, a second resistor terminal coupled to the feedback input and a resistor control terminal for controlling a resistance of the variable resistor element. The resistor control terminal is coupled to the amplifying circuit output, the first resistor terminal is coupleable to a power source, and the second resistor terminal is coupleable to the electrochrome element such that a supply current path to the electrochrome element through the variable resistor element is formed. The capacitor is coupled to the resistor control terminal for effecting a stable behavior of the supply current flow to the electrochrome element.
