Cable grommets for use with raised-floor tiles permit the passage of cables while simultaneously limiting the amount of cool air escaping from under-floor ducts and plenums. The cable grommet includes a floor tile mounting flange, one or more pairs of opposed, overlapping finger assemblies, and one or more pairs of opposed finger mounting flanges for coupling the finger assemblies to the underside of the floor tile mounting flange. The edges of the of the triangularly-shaped fingers are configured to flex around the cables while the interior core section remains generally rigid and parallel to the plane of the floor to restrict the loss of cooling air. Alternatively, the cable grommet includes a floor tile mounting flange and a finger panel defining a sinusoidal cut along its length and a plurality of intersecting short cuts.

An aisle enclosure system including ceiling bracket assemblies, ceiling panels, vertical blanking panels, aisle duct adaptors, and accessory rails, for use with equipment racks and ceiling structures in hot-aisle and cold-aisle data centers. The ceiling assemblies may be mounted to the tops of the racks or may be suspended from an area above the racks. The aisle enclosure system further includes a moveable structure that is configured and adapted to position a ceiling panel in an closed position when the moveable structure is in a first position, and position the ceiling panel in an open position when the moveable structure is in a second position, where the moveable structure is configured and adapted to move from the first position to a second position in response to an alarm condition.

Aisle enclosure system

Adjustable blanking panels for use with equipment racks and enclosures to cover or fill in vacant sections of the rack or enclosure, to prevent the circular flow and reentry of high temperature air into the intake of electrical and computer equipment. The adjustable blanking panels include a generally rectangular base frame that defines opposing left and right side channels, and a generally rectangular shield that is adapted to be inserted into the side channels and slide relative to the base frame, to adjust the height of the panel to the size of the vacant section. The adjustable blanking panel may further include a lip that may be used to raise or lower the shield.

The invention provides modular air management devices for directing or diverting air flow within an equipment cabinet or enclosure to provide adequate cooling for non-'front to back' breathing electronic devices, and include a scoop assembly, a tray assembly, a vertical mount assembly, and a shroud assembly. The air management devices are designed to direct air flow to and from 'side to side' breathing and &#x201c;side inlet, rear exhaust&#x201d; electronic equipment. The assemblies may be mounted inside or outside enclosure rails and may be augmented with fan assemblies.
