An apparatus is disclosed that limits forward swing of an accessory mounted in a vehicle, the accessory separating a cargo area from a passenger seating area and configured to rotate around a bracket rod. The apparatus includes a first bracket and a second bracket. The first bracket is attached to the accessory and extends perpendicularly away from the accessory. The second bracket is attached to the bracket rod and extends perpendicularly away from the bracket rod. When the first bracket contacts the second bracket, forward swing of the accessory toward the passenger seating area is limited.

A vehicle mobile device holder assembly includes a base, a first articulating section and a second articulating section. The base is shaped and dimensioned to fit within a beverage container recess of a center console of a passenger vehicle. The base has an open central area dimension and shaped to receive a beverage container. The base further includes an attachment portion. A universal adapter is disclosed for a cup holder included in the console of a vehicle. The universal adapter includes: a bezel; at least one receptacle extending from the bezel; and an electronic temperature control unit supported by the bezel. The bezel is configured in correspondence with a recess defined by the console such that movement of the universal adapter is inhibited via contact between an outer wall of the bezel and an inner wall of the console defining the recess. The at least one receptacle is receivable by the cup holder and is configured to receive a beverage container. The electronic temperature control unit is in electrical communication with the at least one receptacle such that energy is communicated to the at least one receptacle upon activation of the electronic temperature control unit to thereby vary a temperature of the universal adapter.

A vehicle holding unit includes a cupholder and an electronic heating unit. The cupholder has a sidewall defining a cup receiving area. The sidewall includes a heat source for providing heat to the cupholder. The electronic heating unit is integrated with the sidewall. The electronic heating unit has an electrical connector configured to be electrically connected to another electrical connector of a vehicle center console to draw electrical power from the another electrical connector to power the heat source.

A vehicle is disclosed that includes: a first (e.g., front) passenger seating area having a console; a second (e.g., rear) passenger seating area that is located rearwardly of the first passenger seating area; a floorpan that extends beneath the first and second passenger seating areas; and a multipurpose tray that is configured for removable connection to the floorpan. The floorpan includes an access port extending therethrough that is located generally adjacent to the console. The multipurpose tray is configured to conceal the access port, and defines at least one compartment that is configured to receive personal effects.

The mounting system includes a first bracket that is secured to a body panel of the vehicle and a second bracket that is connected to the first bracket. The first bracket is positioned between the body panel and a headliner of the vehicle such that the first bracket is concealed by the headliner. The second bracket is configured for connection to the accessory and extends through an opening in the headliner such that a first section of the second bracket is concealed by the headliner and a second section of the second bracket is exposed from the headliner, whereby the headliner is movable relative to and about the second bracket upon deployment of an airbag so as to reduce interference therewith.
