A head mount display device includes a display panel including pixels, a shifter that divides the display panel into a reference area including a reference point and a peripheral area surrounding the reference area, and determines each of the reference area and the peripheral area as one of an upscaling area and a downscaling area, and a scaler that scales input image data based on the upscaling area and the downscaling area.

Head mount display device, method for compensating image of head mount display device and head mount display system

A display device includes a display panel with a first display area having a first light transmittance and a second display area having a second light transmittance higher than the first light transmittance. The display device also includes a driving controller which divides an image signal into a first image signal corresponding to a first pixel unit in the first display area and a second image signal corresponding to a second pixel unit and a non-pixel unit adjacent to the second pixel unit. The display controller calculates the second image signal with a preset kernel matrix, and outputs a data signal corresponding to the second pixel unit in the second display area.

Display device

A display device includes a sensing circuit and a controller which selects a pixel row in a frame period. A vertical blank period of the frame period includes a sensing time in which the sensing circuit performs a sensing operation for the selected pixel row. The sensing circuit measures a first source voltage of a driving transistor of a pixel in the selected pixel row at a first time point of the sensing time, and measures a second source voltage of the driving transistor at a second time point of the sensing time. The controller calculates a threshold voltage parameter and a mobility parameter based on the first and second source voltages, predicts a saturated source voltage of the driving transistor based on the threshold voltage parameter and the mobility parameter, and calculates a threshold voltage of the driving transistor based on the saturated source voltage.

A display apparatus includes a display panel, a first coordinate calculator, a second coordinate calculator and a gamma setter. The display panel includes a first display area and a second display area. The first coordinate calculator is configured to calculate color coordinates of first image data of the first display area. The second coordinate calculator is configured to calculate color coordinates of second image data of the second display area. The gamma setter is configured to adjust luminance of the first image data, the color coordinates of the first image data, luminance of the second image data and the color coordinates of the second image data.

Display apparatus and method of compensating gamma value of the same

A data driver for providing data voltages to a display panel includes a digital-to-analog converting block, an option storing block, a data swap block and an output buffer block. The digital-to-analog converting block converts line data into the data voltages. The option storing block stores a pixel arrangement option representing a pixel arrangement structure of the display panel. The data swap block is connected to the digital-to-analog converting block and the option storing block, and selectively performs a data swap operation that swaps the data voltages based on the pixel arrangement option and whether the line data are odd line data or even line data. The output buffer block is connected to the data swap block and outputs the data voltages on which the data swap operation is selectively performed to data lines.

A display apparatus includes a plurality of display panels, a power voltage generator and a driving controller. The power voltage generator generates power voltages of the plurality of display panels. The driving controller receives the power voltages from feedback points of the plurality of display panels and generates a control signal and controls levels of the power voltages based on fed-back power voltages from the feedback points of the plurality of display panels. The power voltage generator adjusts the levels of the power voltages and generates compensation power voltages based on the control signal.

Display apparatus and method of driving the same

A display device includes a display panel configured to be driven in an initial mode or in a main mode; an input sensing part on the display panel and configured to be driven in a mutual sensing mode or in a self-sensing mode; a fingerprint sensing part below the display panel; and a control module configured to control operations of the display panel, the input sensing part, and the fingerprint sensing part. The display panel is between the fingerprint sensing part and the input sensing part. When the display panel is driven in the initial mode, the control module drives the input sensing part in the self-sensing mode and controls the fingerprint sensing part to detect a fingerprint touched on the input sensing part.
