Techniques are disclosed for identifying sets of network devices to which to deploy a software upgrade based on an importance to the network of each network device. For example, a network system obtains information identifying a number of instances of an application associated with network traffic forwarded by each network device of a plurality of network devices. The instances of the application are executed by client devices serviced by each network device in forwarding the network traffic. The network system assigns each network device to different upgrade groups based on the number of instances of the application, each upgrade group associated with a different relative priority. The network system deploys a software upgrade to each network device according to a priority of the respective upgrade group relative to a priority of the other upgrade groups.

A method and system for providing location services at a network edge is described. An AP can receive location information associated with a second AP in a location group. The AP can also receive client location data from the second AP and associated with a first client. From at least the received client location data, the AP can determine a location of the first client. The AP can then send the location of the first client to a location service.

Wireless configuration diagnosis framework may be provided. A label for a choreography comprising a sequence of frames to be exchanged between a first access point and a first client device may be created by a controller. A reference footprint for the choreography may be created. The reference footprint may comprise, for each frame of the sequence of frames, a frame type, an information element for the frame type, and a bit value for the information element. The reference footprint may be sent to the first access point. A plurality of frames exchanged between the first access point and the first client device associated with the choreography and an outcome for the choreography may be received from the first access point in response to the choreography being triggered.

Systems, methods, and computer program products to provide direct external network access at an access point (AP) in a managed wide area network (WAN). The method may include establishing an application host interface (AHI) at an access point and receiving application data from one or more client devices connected to the access point. The method may also include determining that the application data is received from a permitted application as shown in a list of applications permitted to use the AHI and routing, using the AHI, the received application data to the data destination via the external network thereby bypassing the WLC.

In one embodiment, a method is performed. A device comprising a non-transitory memory and a processor coupled to the non-transitory memory may be in communication with a plurality of network devices. The device may detect an anomaly in a detected sequence of events occurring during a connectivity process for establishing a connection between a first network device and a second network device of the plurality of network devices. The anomaly may comprise a difference between the detected sequence of events and a predetermined sequence of events. The device may determine whether the anomaly satisfies a criterion for triggering a packet capture operation. If so, the device may cause at least one of the first network device or the second network device to capture at least one target packet.

According to embodiments illustrated herein, a method and a system is provided for screening candidates for job opportunities. The method includes grouping the candidates into batches based on predetermined time duration, a count of the candidates, and a chronology of receiving job applications from the candidates. Each batch comprises a first set of candidates. Thereafter, a sliding window is moved over the batches, to encompass a set of batches at a first time instance. A second set of candidates is identified from the first set of candidates in a batch from the set of batches based on a score assigned to each of the first set of candidates during an interview. Further, a candidate is selected from the second set of candidates obtained from a first batch, encompassed by the sliding window at a second time instance before the first time instance.

A plurality of digital data packets may be received via a wireless data interface, wired data interface, or data path. Code may be executed for a data communications protocol in which one or more of the filtered digital data packets causes the code to transition to different states of the protocol. A protocol state machine may be executed comprising a plurality of states and a plurality of transitions between the states to simulate correct execution of a particular data communication protocol. An anomaly may be detected between a first particular state of the protocol during the execution of the code and a second particular state of the protocol state machine, and in response, an anomaly event may be generated comprising digital data indicating that the anomaly has occurred. An anomaly event log based on the anomaly event and the filtered digital data packets may be transmitted to a computing device.

The disclosed embodiments illustrate methods and systems for maintaining reachability information among one or more communication devices of a communication network. The method includes creating, at a first time instance, a first path-union graph, between a first and a second communication device that become unreachable from each other in the communication network. Thereafter, a reachability tree is created from the first path-union graph. The reachability tree includes a set of communication devices that are at a distance of less than a predefined path distance from the first communication device. Further, at a second time instance, a second path-union graph is created between the first communication device and a third communication device, when the third communication device becomes unreachable from the first communication device. Thereafter, the reachability tree is updated based on the second path-union graph.
