A method of printing a plurality of documents includes generating a page file for each page of each document, generating a control file for each page file, and operating a number of printers to generate printed pages based on the page files. The method includes scanning the printed pages to generate a scan file for each page, and identifying the corresponding control file to permit the printed pages to be segregated into properly sequenced separate documents.

Method and system for a distributed analytical and diagnostic software over the intranet and internet environment

A method and system for providing the improved automated diagnosis of heart function on the basis of electrocardiographic data in a much less computationally intensive manner than has been done previously. The objectives of the method and system are accomplished by the following steps. First, waveform templates known to be indicative of heart conditions of interest are collected. Second, a data compression algorithm is used to extract from the collected waveforms only that data essential to making an accurate diagnosis of the conditions with which the templates are associated; the resulting data is used to construct waveforms referred to as reduced-data electrocardiographic waveform templates. Third, the reduced-data electrocardiographic waveform templates are then correlated with the patient's electrocardiographic waveforms and on the basis of the results of the correlation a diagnosis is rendered.

Method and system for the fast determination of EKG waveform morphology

A method and system for determining Acute Myocardial Infarction. The method and system work by determining whether or not at least one pre-specified component wave is present within each successive heartbeat waveform (e.g. the S wave component of the QRSTU waveform) appearing within each electrocardiographic lead. After it has been determined whether or not the pre-specified component wave is present within the heartbeat waveforms under consideration (each lead will generally have some representation of each successive heartbeat waveform present within it), a wave amplitude ratio (e.g. the ST complex amplitude divided by the S wave component amplitude at some specified instant in time) is calculated. Thus, for each successive heartbeat waveform there will generally be at least one wave amplitude ratio calculated for each electrocardiographic lead, since the same heartbeat waveform generally appears, in some form, within each electrocardiographic lead. Finally, the calculated wave amplitude ratios, which are generally calculated on each lead that every successive heartbeat waveform, are compared to predetermined criteria (e.g. traversing a classification tree), and on the basis of this comparison it is indicated whether Acute Myocardial Infarction is occurring.

Method and system for detecting acute myocardial infarction

An ECG waveform calibration method combines ECG channel calibration pulses to form combined calibration pulses. The combined channel pulses are filtered to select valid combined pulses. The selected combined pulses are correlated to the corresponding channel calibration pulses to determine valid channel calibration pulses from which a correction scale factor is derived. A valid calibration pulse is determined where a correlation between a combined calibration pulse and a corresponding channel calibration pulse is greater than a predetermined correlation value. The valid channel calibration pulses are then characterized. A set of valid channel calibration pulses is selected for each channel based on the characterization to form an average calibration pulse. The average calibration pulse is used to determine a correction scale factor for each channel which is used to scale the actual channel ECG waveform data. The method also includes a step for adjusting the intra-channel skew.
