An apparatus and method for receiving and processing weather data and flight plan data is disclosed. A processor is configured to receive flight plan data containing at least a moving path of an aircraft; receive weather data containing at least positional information and weather characteristics; compare the positional information of the weather data with the flight plan data; determine if the weather characteristics impact a predetermined operating condition of the aircraft; compare the impact of the weather characteristics to the operating condition with a predetermined threshold value; and provide an indication signal indicating a section of the moving path of the aircraft where the impact of the weather characteristics to the operating condition exceeds the predetermined threshold value.

Receiving and processing weather data and flight plan data

A system and method are provided that are capable of processing incoming status data from a variety of sources to identify an event therein. The identified event is then processed with a rules engine to determine an intended or authorized recipient for the event, wherein the intended recipient is one or a plurality of potential recipients. A communication protocol is then determined that is based on an annunciation device uniquely associated with the intended recipient. The event is then selectively annunciated to the authorized, intended recipient.

Systems and methods for selective annunciation

A server comprises a processing unit configured to interlace audio data packets with video data to form an interlaced audio/video data file having an approximately uniform audio time interval between consecutive audio data packets in the interlaced audio/video data file. The server also comprises an interrupt timer configured to provide periodic interrupt signals. The processing unit is configured to synchronize the start of transmission of each instance of the audio data packets and the video data packets with the periodic interrupt signals from the interrupt timer.
