Techniques described herein provide pooling of radio access network (RAN) resources in a disaggregated RAN in a manner that enables dynamic re-homing of RAN functions with minimal disruption to stateful communications. The RAN is a hierarchical arrangement of RAN units, each having an associated state at any given time. A RAN state pooling system (RSPS) is in communication with a pool of the RAN units via a high-speed communication channel. The RSPS is configured to maintain an updated repository of the state information for the RAN units in its serviced pool. In the event of re-homing from a first RAN unit to a second RAN unit in the pool (e.g., due to the first RAN unit failing, becoming overloaded, etc.), the RSPS provides the second RAN unit with the updated state information for the first RAN unit to facilitate a stateful re-homing.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory, machine-readable media for zero-touch interworking of network control with data platform and analytics in virtualized deployment are disclosed. Responsive to a network service request for service location identifiers, data from data sources may be processed, and indicia of data characteristics may be analyzed to create or develop a data model. Configuration specifications may be created to instantiate a network slice and network services as a function of the data characteristics, conforming to quality of service parameters and service location identifiers. A log mapped to the request may be created and included in a template specifying a data observability framework and resources for the network slice and network services. The slice and services may be instantiated with the configuration specifications, with data services provided to user equipment of the external entity, and with the cellular network consequently providing data services to user equipment.

A method includes receiving a message, determining at least one of a message importance level or a message delivery alert level based on one or more message characteristics associated with the message and generating metadata that indicates the at least one of the message importance level or the message delivery alert level with the message. A messaging system for a wireless network may be constructed using a gateway architecture in which a number of messaging servers are connected to external networks through the gateway. In one implementation, a method implemented in the system may include receiving a message that is communicated as part of a messaging protocol for delivering text or multimedia messages to user devices and altering the message to include a billing identifier describing how the message should be billed. The message may be altered by the gateway and may be transmitted to a messaging server for extraction of the billing information.

A message originates from a mobile station which is operable within a wireless network. In disclosed examples, the wireless network has a Messaging Service Center (MSC). The MSC determines whether the MSC stores a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) corresponding to a destination mobile directory number (MDN) that is inputted via the mobile station. Then, the MSC sends the message to the URI corresponding to the MDN if the first MSC stores the URI corresponding to the MDN. The MSC sends a request to find the URI corresponding to the destination MDN to an external tElephone NUmber Mapping (ENUM) server, if the first MSC does not store the URI corresponding to the destination MDN. The MSC sends the message to the URI corresponding to the destination MDN if the external ENUM server sends the URI corresponding to the destination MDN. The MSC also indicates charging policy for delivery of message based on a billing identification corresponding to the destination MDN or URI that is stored in the MSC in the same table.

A portion of the packet is discarded, the packet being associated with a communications flow. System and method for providing fault and error tolerant communications in a network environment

Transmitting packets in a frame includes receiving the packets. Delay constraints are established, where each delay constraint is associated with a packet. Frame departure times of the frames are predicted, where the frames include the packets. A packet departure time is determined for each packet in accordance with the frame departure time of the frame that includes the packet. An order of the packets is determined using the delay constraints and the packet departure times. The packets are placed in the order, and the frames are formed from the ordered packets.
