An information handling system and peripheral mouse establish level four security when a preloaded security identification packet is available to securely identify both devices for the exchange of pairing information in a manner that avoids man-in-the-middle attacks. The peripheral advertises with both a BLE protocol packet that supports a conventional level 3 security pairing and a secure identification packet that supports a level four security pairing. When the secure identification packet advertisement is selected by a host, the BLE profile may be populated without performing pairing so that the profile can be used to subsequently pair without risk of a malicious device imitating the BLE interface.

A mouse operatively coupled to an information handling system includes a mouse microcontroller, a mouse memory device to receive data describing display device pixel per inch (ppi) density values associated with a first and second video display device operatively coupled to the information handling system. The mouse microcontroller execute code instructions of a cursor tracking agent to track a location of a cursor, controlled by the movement of the mouse, across the first video display device and second video display device. Further, the mouse microcontroller execute code instructions of a monitor calibration agent to maintain cursor speed across the first video display device and the second video display device by adjusting mouse ppi values for the mouse cursor speed and switching between a first mouse ppi value to a second mouse ppi value when the cursor has crossed a display device boundary.

A monitor's OSD can be selectively controlled with a keyboard, mouse or other human interface device. A microcontroller of a keyboard, mouse or other human interface device can be configured to detect the occurrence of input representing an OSD command. In response, the microcontroller can commence sending input to the monitor rather than to the computing device so that the input can control the OSD. Similarly, a filter driver on the monitor can be configured to detect the occurrence of input representing the OSD command. In response, the filter driver can commence sending input to the monitor's scalar rather than to the computing device.

Systems and methods for providing multi-parameter current sharing are described. In some embodiments, a printer may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the printer to: assume master status; receive a first peer list from a first peer printer; create an updated peer list, where the updated peer list lists the printer; send the updated peer list to the first peer printer; receive confirmation that the updated peer list was accepted by the first peer printer; and release master status.
