Not every person can or should join an electronic conference (herein, 'conference') where they may contribute content to the conference. While a first set of participants are communicating, a question may arise to be addressed to an additional participant not participating in the conference. Rather than executing the overhead of joining the conference, a separate communication channel is established, such as via an instant messaging application of the additional participant. The additional participant is presented with a message, such as a question, which may indicate the sender is the conference itself. The additional participant replies via their IM application which is delivered to each of the conference participants and optionally included in a recording of the conference.

Examples disclosed herein provide methods and systems for updating participants in parallel ongoing conferences through a central conference call management system. In at least one implementation, a method of operating a conference call management system is provided. The method includes monitoring an ongoing first conference call, and receiving a request from one or more users for a second conference call to utilize at least some of the same resources as the first conference call. The method also includes determining an estimated time remaining for the first conference call by analyzing at least some content of the first conference call, and providing the estimated time remaining for the first conference call to the one or more users.

System and method for updating participants in parallel overlapping conferences

Remote collaboration sessions may allow a local user to share their entire desktop or a single application with a remote user. By allowing each of a number of windows, but not all windows, to be selectively provided by the local computer to the remote computer, a more efficient collaboration session may be provided that does not require the local user to terminate sharing, when sharing a first application, then re-initiate sharing for the second application, just to switch between applications. Or, alternatively, alleviates the need to select the entire desktop that may comprise confidential information not to be shared. By allowing each, but not all, applications to be shared remotely and simultaneously, a remote user can be presented with relevant, but not excluded, application windows from the local computer.

Secure multiple application sharing during a remote session

Electronic conferences allow participants to join lectures, meetings, and other events remotely via connection of a computing device to a network. The quality received by each node may not be ideal, or even satisfactory. Presenters of the conference content are made aware of the state of the participants by determining, at the end device receiving the conference, a quality of the conference. A monitoring node, such as a communication device utilized by a presenter, may then provide indications of the quality received.

Conferencing session management

Systems and methods are provided for attribute-based client callbacks. A client is prompted to leave a voice message. Attributes are extracted from the voice message and, based on the attributes, tokens created for the selection of an appropriate agent is connected to the client, such as having skills or attributes matching one or more tokens. A callback application server transmits prompts and receives requests for client callbacks. an interaction manager determines agent availability and arranges callback handling, and a session management server initiates callbacks to connect the selected agent with the client.

Prompt feature to leave voicemail for appropriate attribute-based call back to customers

An indication of a change in a right to use a service or feature is received. For example, this can be based on an administrator granting access to a previously installed service or feature. In response, a notification is sent to a user of the change of the right to use the service or feature. The notification requests the user to provide a credential to approve the change of the right to use the service or feature. For example, a link may be provided in an email or text message that the user can click on to provide a password/user name. The credential is received and verified. In response to validating the credential, access is allowed according to the change of the right to use the service or feature. The user then has access to the service/feature without the administrator having to know the user's credential.
