Examples of novel self-repairing cement-polymer composites and processes of making and using are detailed that address various problems in prior art cements. These matrices, compositions and materials that are more mechanically robust, thermally stable and chemically resistant and demonstrate better bonding to various structures and materials, than other self-healing cements known in the prior art. When in place under preselected conditions (the formulation of the slurry can be modified for optimal effectiveness under various conditions) the organic, cross linking and cement forming portions within the slurry form interconnecting chemical bonds and cures to form a self-repairing and self-re-adhering cement polymer composite matrix in the receiving location.

Self-repairing cement polymer composites and processes of making and using same

New cement-polymer composites and processes of making and using are detailed. One exemplary cement-polymer composite include a Portland cement, an epoxide polymer, a thiol-containing crosslinking agent, and an optional phase separation inhibitor. These composites are dynamically self-healing, mechanically robust, and thermally stable in high temperature environments and can be expected to increase service lifetimes in various applications including energy producing wellbores.

The present invention is an apparatus for sweeping the indoor or outdoor floors. In one embodiment the apparatus includes a telescoping elongated handle with an attached sweeping member. The sweeping member is made of several layers of Vietnam Dot' Grass which is secured to the lower end of the elongated handle. The lower edge of the grass is cut in the shape of an arc. In another embodiment of the present invention, the elongated stalk of the grass is secured around the elongated handle. The lower edge of the grass of this embodiment is cut in the shape of an one-half arc shape.
