A capacitive proximity control device () for a domestic washing machine () or other domestic electrical appliance is proposed. In some embodiments, the proximity control device comprises two planar sensor electrodes () arranged on a door () of the washing machine at a spatial distance from one another. An electronic assembly is connected to the two sensor electrodes, which electronic assembly is adapted to generate, in association with each of the two sensor electrodes, an electrical sensor signal which is representative of a change in a capacitance associated with the sensor electrode in question. By mutual correlation of the two sensor signals, the electronic assembly is able to determine a proximity operation of the control device. A shielding electrode can be arranged in the spatial region between the two sensor electrodes.

A sensor suitable for optical turbidity measurements is described. The sensor is suitable for use in a water-bearing domestic electrical appliance (e.g. washing machine or dishwasher) and allows the temperature dependence of the turbidity measurements obtained by means of a first light detector to be compensated for. To this end, the sensor implements, in addition to a turbidity-measuring path along which a measuring-light beam is sent through a measuring space containing the turbid medium to a first light detector, a reference measuring path along which a reference light beam is transported to a second light detector which is thermally coupled with the first light detector. A heat-equalizing element can ensure that any temperature differences between the two light detectors are minimized. Both light-measuring paths can run in some regions inside the same solid-material light-conducting structure.

A shelf assembly, in particular for a domestic cooling device, includes a receiving plate having a front plate edge, a rear plate edge and two lateral plate edges, and a holding strut on at least one of the lateral plate edges for supporting the receiving plate. The holding strut has in the region of a rear strut end at least one hook structure for fitting the holding strut into a mounting opening of a carrying structure. At a distance beneath the hook structure, the holding strut forms a first support structure for support on a front side, facing the strut, of the carrying structure. A pyrolytic oven comprises a housing and a muffle delimiting a cooking chamber inside the housing. A lighting module serves to illuminate the cooking chamber, wherein the lighting module has a cooling structure with an arrangement of cooling extensions formed in particular as pins or ribs, which project into a gap between housing and muffle and have a convection effect in a cooking mode of the oven. A fan device of the oven is configured and controlled to generate an air flow encountering the cooling structure in the gap in a pyrolytic mode of the oven. The cooling structure of the lighting module further has a wall formation, which in pyrolytic mode generates a wind shadow relative to the air flow for a number of cooling extensions of the cooling structure arranged distributed in a transverse plane to the flow direction of the air flow.

A light bar includes an arrangement of several light elements reciprocally spaced behind one another in the longitudinal bar direction where each light element produces a light beam, a reflection surface formed on a light-impermeable reflector body and producing a diffuse scattering effect where a first portion of the light beam of each light element is directed at the reflection surface, a light-permeable window element at which light produced by the light elements exits the light bar. A second portion of the light beam that is different from the first portion is directed past the reflection surface onto the light exit window. The light radiated by the light bar is composed of a direct light proportion and a scattered light proportion, the relative ratio of which in a suitable configuration of the reflector body and the window element can be different in different radiation directions of the light bar.
