In a method and an arrangement for checking the tightness of a vessel (), especially of a tank-venting system of a motor vehicle, the vessel () is charged with a pressure generated by a motor-driven pressure source () and the motor current is determined. A reference leak () is selectively driven by a switchover valve () and is charged with a corresponding pressure and the motor current is determined. The determined electrical characteristic quantity and the determined reference characteristic quantity are compared and a conclusion is drawn therefrom as to the presence of a leak. To prevent the entry of moisture into the pressure source (), it is provided that at least the pressure source () is heated intermittently. The heating takes place preferably by driving the switchover valve () at a suitable pulse duty factor. To prevent the entrance of moisture into the pressure source (), a check valve () is provided and is suitably mounted in the connecting part of the pressure source ().

Heatable tank leakage diagnosis unit, particularly for motor vehicles

A solenoid valve for tank ventilation in motor vehicles, comprising a magnetic yoke with at least one valve opening and with a cooperating spring-loaded valve member for opening and closing the at least one valve opening. The valve element constitutes a magnetic armature of an electromagnet and is disposed between the magnetic yoke of the electromagnet and a hollow, cylindrical magnet core of the electromagnet. A valve seat body which is separate from the magnetic yoke and contains the at least one valve opening is disposed in an axial opening in the magnetic yoke, and on a side remote from the valve member. The valve seat body rests against a housing wall of the solenoid valve by use of a support element made of a damping material.

Valve for metered introduction of evaporated fuel

A valve for metered introduction of fuel, volatilized from a fuel tank of an internal combustion engine, into the engine, having a valve housing which has an inflow neck for connection to a fuel tank or to an adsorption filter downstream of the tank for the volatilized fuel, and having an outflow neck for connection to the engine, having a valve member accommodated between the inflow neck and the outflow neck in the interior of the valve housing, which valve member is actuatable by an electromagnet that has a magnet core, and which cooperates with a valve seat embodied on a valve seat body, is characterized in that the valve housing includes a first housing part, closed on the inflow side by a protective screen, in/on which the electromagnet, the valve member, the valve seat body and the outflow neck are provided, and a second housing part, on which the inflow neck is disposed and which can be secured to the first housing part.

Valve for metered introduction of volatilized fuel

In a diagnosis module for leak testing a container of a tank ventilation system of a motor vehicle, which has a reference leak through which a volume flows and is matched to a permissible leakage of the container. The reference leak is constituted by a number of diaphragms disposed in series in the flow direction, in which each of the diaphragms have a throttle opening (,). The advantage of this diagnosis module lies in the large diameter throttle openings, which are less susceptible to malfunction when there is a permitted leakage hole that has a significantly smaller diameter.
