The pilot control circuit adjusts a pilot control pressure and the relay valve uses a pilot control pressure to control a power pressure to provide a required working pressure for the pressing force of the current collector.

The brake application device is characterised in that the braking force converter is configured in such a way that the force which is to be exerted by the braking force generator during braking, in order to generate a defined brake application force which is greater than zero and less than the maximum brake force, measures zero.
