A method of producing shafts such as shafts used in a transmission, particularly for a motor vehicle, is provided. A shaft base body and at least one gearwheel, which is at least substantially finished separately from the shaft and subsequently is fixed to the shaft in such a way as to transmit torque available at the shaft or input torque by the gearwheel having a hollow hub body and being axially pressed onto a seat on the shaft base body so as to form a frictional connection which transmits the torque from the shaft to the gearwheel.

The invention relates to both nut assemblies and methods for producing the same. Said nut assemblies consist of a nut body () and a pressure disk (). The nut body has a drive portion, such as a polygonal portion, for engaging with a tool and an abutment region that can be brought into contact with the supporting surface of the pressure disk arranged on the nut body in a captive manner. The pressure disk has a central opening into which a neck formed on the nut extends axially at least in part. The neck has a projection for forming a captive connection. This projection radially overlaps or engages the thrust ring.

Nut assembly and method for the production thereof

A method of producing a built shaft in which at least one part, particularly a cam, is mounted on the shaft, particularly a camshaft, includes inserting the shaft into an opening of the part. Before mounting the part, the shaft is stretched by a stretching and tightening device such that an original diameter in the area of at least one fastening location is reduced to a stretched diameter. The part is slid onto the shaft and up to the fastening location. The stretching and tightening device is then loosened to enable the diameter of the shaft to enlarge once more towards its original diameter. The part is firmly fastened at the fastening location by an interference fit in both an axial and rotationally fixed manner.

A method of producing a nut having a drive area and a clamping area, and a screw tap for performing the method. A bore hole running through the clamping and drive areas is produced in a cylindrical manner. The screw tap is screwed into the cylindrical bore until a predetermined position is reached. The screw tap is successively provided, when seen in an axial direction from the front side thereof, with a centering/cutting section, an adjoining cutting section which is used to produce a conical internal screw thread section in the clamping area, and a cutting section which is used to produce a cylindrical internal screw thread section in the drive area.

A method for producing an assembled shaft, especially an assembled camshaft, whereby parts, especially cams, are placed on a shaft in predetermined axial and peripheral positions and joined by compression pressure in a friction-tight manner. The cams in the thrust direction have a lubrication groove which surrounds the inner bore thereof and which is essentially wedge-shaped with a linear or curved slope, running in the direction of the wall of the bore. When the cam is slid on the shaft into the predetermined axial position, a lubricant is introduced into the groove. This lubricant is pulled continuously groove into the inner bore of the cam during the push-on process to significantly reduce friction between the inner bore and the shaft.

Process for fastening components on a hallow shaft

A friction clutch wherein the prestressed diaphragm spring has prongs extending outwardly from its annular main section and being separably affixed to the counterpressure plate by an annulus of screws. The spring bears against the pressure plate and urges the latter against the clutch plate which is thereby biased against the counterpressure plate. When the screws are removed, the prestressed spring is axially shifted relative to the pressure plate and lugs on its prongs come into engagement with a radial shoulder of the pressure plate to hold the spring against further axial movement relative to the pressure plate as well as to maintain the diameter of the circle formed by the centers of holes in the prongs at least substantially unchanged. This simplifies the reattachment of prongs to the counterpressure plate. The prongs tend to move radially inwardly and abut against a cylindrical surface of the pressure plate when they are detached from the counterpressure plate.
