In an engine crankcase including a crankshaft supported at its front end by a crankshaft bearing having a crankshaft bearing cover including a bearing top part and a bearing bottom part and a front end gear drive arranged in front of the crankcase for driving auxiliary component and including a first drive gear mounted onto the crankshaft, a second gear mounted to the auxiliary component and an intermediate gear in meshing engagement with the first and second gears and supported on a support plate, the support plate is screwed onto the crankcase, the bearing top part and the bearing bottom part.

In a water pump for pumping coolant in a low temperature and a high temperature circuit with low temperature and high temperature housings each including a spiral flow guide structure, and a single rotor disposed in the joined housings and having a low temperature rotor part for pumping coolant through the low temperature circuit and a high temperature rotor part for pumping coolant through the high temperature circuit, the housings are joined with a heat isolating structure disposed between the flow guide structures of the high temperature and the low temperature housings to limit heat transfer from the high temperature coolant pumped through the high temperature housing to the low temperature coolant pumped through the low temperature housing.

A hydraulic fluid feed mechanism that feeds into a shaft () of a transmission having a hydraulic control device, by which the hydraulic feed mechanism can be supplied with hydraulic fluid, comprising a transmission housing () in which the shaft is held, and a housing cover () that is equipped with feed bores (), by which the hydraulic fluid is fed from the hydraulic control device into the shaft (). A hydraulic fluid line () is positioned between the hydraulic or pneumatic control device and a feed bore () in the housing cover () that extends parallel to the shaft (), with this hydraulic fluid line being comprised of a fitting () and a tube () which is permanently inserted into the fitting at nearly right angles, forming a pressure-tight seal. The fitting () is pushed through a transmission housing bore () that extends parallel to the shaft (), is separably inserted into the feed bore () forming a pressure-tight seal, and is axially mounted to the transmission housing () by a sealing ring ().
