A PEF cooking appliance includes a PEF generator, and a carrier configured to receive a storage container for food. The carrier includes at least two PEF electrodes spaced apart to enable insertion of the storage container there between. At least one the PEF electrodes is connected to the PEF generator. The carrier is embodied as a drawer with a top cover pivotably attached thereto The drawer includes a base, with one of the two PEF electrodes being integrated into the base of the drawer and another one of the two PEF electrodes being integrated into the cover of the drawer.

An operator control panel for a household appliance includes an operator control front, a panel carrier supporting the operator control front and having a recess, and a haptic actuator guided through the recess of the panel carrier for coupling to the operator control front so that during an operator control procedure of the operator control panel the haptic actuator outputs a haptic signal as feedback to a user in response to the operator control procedure via the operator control front.

A system includes a core temperature probe and a microwave cooking device. The core temperature probe includes a temperature sensor to determine a temperature information, a coaxial line including a lambda/4 line resonance element adjusted to a microwave frequency, and a signal transmission antenna connected to the temperature sensor via the coaxial line and adapted to emit the temperature information at a signal transmission frequency that differs from the microwave frequency. The system is hereby constructed to transmit a signal at the signal transmission frequency wirelessly between the signal transmission antenna of the core temperature probe and a signal transmission antenna of the microwave cooking appliance.
