A pen or pencil having a shaft which in its peripheral surface has at least one first and at least one second surface region. Irradiation of the first surface region with light of a first light quantity per unit of surface area results in an emission of visible light in the second surface region, wherein the light quantity emitted in the second surface region per unit of surface area for at least one first frequency is greater than the light quantity per unit of surface area of the first frequency, which is absorbed in the first surface region.

Pen or pencil

A writing implement comprising a dispensing device for writing liquid at the front end of the implement and a liquid reservoir for holding the writing liquid which is at least partly transparent at the rear end of the instrument, the improvement comprising the liquid reservoir is coated on the inside surface, at least in part, with a silicone rubber layer which allows the writing liquid to run off the inside surface.

Writing implement

A marker pencil comprises a gel-like water-bearing pencil material enclosed in a casing and incorporating a dye carrier. The structure-forming constituents of the pencil material include water-soluble metal soaps and saccharides and/or polyols derived therefrom by reduction. As a further alternative constituent the pencil material may include a fatty substance.
