A securing device secures at least one signal cable to a pad retainer bracket of a disc brake, wherein the disc brake has a pad retainer bracket that is secured to a brake caliper of the disc brake spanning a brake disc. The securing device has a retainer that can be arranged on the pad retainer bracket. The signal cable is retained in the retainer, wherein the retainer is also interlockingly and/or frictionally retained on one side in a lateral region of the pad retainer bracket. The signal cable is guided between the retainer and the associated side of the pad retainer bracket.

A disc brake includes a brake caliper that engages over a brake disc and is designed as a sliding caliper. The disc brake has two brake pads which are located in the brake caliper, can be moved in opposite directions and each of which has a pad backing plate with a friction lining secured thereon. An action-side or application-side brake pad of the two brake pads can be pressed against the brake disc by a brake application device with the aid of at least one brake plunger. The brake also includes at least one restoring device, by which the brake caliper can be returned after a displacement and release of the brakes caused by a braking action. The restoring device has a spreading device which engages on the brake pads lying opposite one another and which acts with an identical force in opposition to the respective application direction. The spreading device includes spring-loaded spreading elements, each engaging on its respective pad backing plate. The spreading device is located in the central opening and the spreading elements engage directly or indirectly, outside the friction linings, on at least two contact regions of the brake pads, the regions facing each other at a distance from the center. Each contact region has a contact surface and a support surface, on which surfaces the spreading elements are movably located.

A resetting device by which a brake caliper can be reset after a braking-induced displacement and release of a brake. The resetting device has a spreading device which has resilient spreading elements. The spreading device is arranged in a central opening of the brake caliper. The spreading elements engage, outside the friction pads, directly or indirectly on one side at at least two abutment regions arranged spaced apart from one another relative to the center, of the brake pads, where the abutment regions have one abutment surface and one bearing surface on which the spreading elements are movably arranged. The spreading device has spring arms, of which in each case two lie against an associated pad carrier plate, where the spring arms are connected to one another in the central region of the opening. The spring arms are connected to a retaining bow which is attached to a brake carrier.

A disc brake for a utility vehicle includes a brake caliper which engages over a vehicle-side brake disc, which is connected to a stationary brake carrier, and in which two brake pads are arranged which bear against the brake disc on both sides during a braking operation, having in each case one lining carrier plate and one friction lining which is fastened thereto, and of which at least one brake application-side brake pad is positioned in a pad shaft of the brake carrier, which pad shaft is delimited by two brake carrier horns. The lining carrier plate bears against stops of the brake carrier in a manner which is spring-loaded radially in the direction of a mounting opening of the brake caliper. The disc brake is configured in such a way that the brake pad is held on the brake caliper in a radially sprung manner.

A method for analyzing the wear behavior of brake pads of a brake system has at least the following steps: a) providing a brake system with at least one or more brakes, each with one or more brake pads which each have a pad carrier plate and a friction lining composed of at least two or more friction material layers which are composed of different friction materials; and at least one evaluation device; b) determining the wear which is brought about per brake during braking operations with at least one wear sensor per brake; c) determining the braking energy which is brought about per brake during braking operations with the evaluation device; d) repeated determination of an instantaneous gradient of a curve which relates the values determined in steps b) and c) and preferably a route information item to one another; and e) outputting a signal at an output device if the gradient changes.

Method and system for analyzing the wear behavior of brake pads/linings

A disc brake has a brake caliper, which reaches over a brake disc, is designed as a sliding caliper, is fastened to a stationary brake bracket and has a central opening over the brake disc. Two brake pads, which are arranged in the brake caliper and can be moved in opposite directions each have a backing plate and a friction lining fastened thereto. An action-side brake pad can be pressed against the brake disc by an application device by way of at least one brake piston. At least one restoring device is provided, by which the brake caliper can be returned after displacement and release of the brake caused by braking, wherein the restoring device has a spreading device, which acts on the brake pads lying opposite each other and acts in the same way against each particular application direction and has resilient spreading elements that act on the respective backing plates. The spreading device is arranged in the central opening, wherein the spreading elements act directly or indirectly outside of the friction linings on one side in the center region or at least two contact regions of the brake pads arranged at a distance from each other with respect to the center, wherein the contact regions each have a contact surface and a bearing surface, on which the spreading elements are movably arranged.

A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, is provided. The disc brake includes at least one application-side brake pad and a back-side brake pad held in a form-fitting manner in a brake carrier. At least the application-side brake pad is provided with at least one pad-retaining spring which is supported at least on one brake carrier horn of the brake carrier and exerts a radially outwardly acting tensile force on the brake pad.

A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, includes a brake carrier which receives at least two brake pads in respective clamping side and rear side pad slots, with the at least one brake pad on the clamping side being held in its pad slot in a form-fitting manner. The at least one brake pad on the clamping side is provided with at least one pad retaining spring which is supported at least on a brake carrier horn of the pad slot of the brake carrier. The at least one clamping spring exerts a tensile force acting radially outward on the brake pad. A brake pad set for the disc brake is also provided.

A brake pad of a disk brake, includes at least one friction pad attached to a pad carrier and has a locking device, which is arranged on the pad carrier and which has a spring element and a securing element. The spring element and the securing element of the locking device are coupled to each other in a form-closed manner as two separate parts and can be pivoted in relation to each other. A disk brake is equipped with such brake pads.

A disc brake for a commercial vehicle includes a brake caliper which takes the form of a sliding caliper and straddles a brake disc. In the caliper, brake pads are arranged on an actuation side and a reaction side, which pads can be pressed against both sides of the brake disc by an actuation device during braking. The reaction-side brake pad is supported on a rear-side wall of the brake caliper by a pad carrier plate carrying a friction pad, and a gap is formed in a non-operational position in a region facing an assembly opening of the brake caliper between the rear-side wall of the brake caliper and the reaction-side brake pad. The gap is wider than the adjacent region and the length of the gap corresponds at least to the length of the contact surface of the reaction-side wall on the pad carrier plate when braking is applied. The disc brake is disposed such that the gap is formed by at least one recess in the pad carrier plate. The recess is integrated into the planar rear side running parallel to the side carrying the friction pad. The recess runs at a distance from the edges of the pad carrier plate that delimit the longitudinal sides of the brake pad.

An adjusting device for a disc brake, especially a pneumatically operated disc brake, is used for rotating and thus axially moving at least one rotary spindle that is provided with internal teeth composed of one or several axially extending grooves. The adjusting device includes an output bush that is provided with external teeth which engage into the internal teeth of the rotary spindle, as well as a monolithic or multipart release spindle. The release spindle axially penetrates the adjusting device and is used for manually releasing the same. The spindle is disposed and/or mounted in such a way that rotations of the spindle below a threshold torque, which are caused by vibrational stress during operation of the disc brake, are prevented. The adjusting device is characterized in that the spindle or a part that is connected to the spindle in a torsion-proof manner is also provided with external teeth which engage directly into the internal teeth of the rotary spindle as well.
