The invention relates to a UV additive for aminoplast resins, to a method for producing a UV additive as well as to uses thereof. Said UV additive contains soluble sterically-hindered nitroxyl compounds in an aqueous aminoplast precondensate. A UV additive for aminoplast resins with several application forms is thus obtained.

Additive for inhibiting photolytic degradation reactions in aminoplasts

Aminoplast resins are cured using inorganic particles as curing agents. The inorganic particles have a laminated structure and include interlamellarly exchangeable cations such as alkali cations, alkaline-earth cations, aluminum cations, iron cations and/or manganese cations. The aminoplast resins may be cured to produce semi-finished products and molding materials.

Process for curing aminoplast resins

The invention relates to polymer modified inorganic particles with a layer structure with an average particle diameter of 5 nm to 20,000 nm, containing 20 to 5000 mass % interlamellarly, in relation to the anhydrous inorganic particle, of a mixture of aminoplasts and water. These polymer modified inorganic particles are produced by swelling the inorganic particles with aldehydes and then reacting the inorganic particles with multifunctional C&#x2013;Camino compounds. The invention also relates to plastic containing polymer modified particles with a layer structure and to semi-finished products and moulded material produced from the same.

Polymer-modified inorganic particles

The invention relates to products, especially moulding materials of polymers containing triazine segments and consisting of mixtures of meltable 4&#x2013;18 ring oligotriazine ethers which are soluble in highly polar solvents, and in which the triazine rings are predominantly linked by alkylene diamino groups. Said moulding materials can contain up to 50 mass % of other reactive polymers such as ethylene copolymers, maleic acid anhydride copolymers, modified maleic acid anhydride copolymers, poly(meth)acrylates, polyamides, polyester and/or polyurethanes, up to 75 mass % of filling materials and/or reinforcing fibres, and up to 2 mass % of stabilisers, UV absorbers and/or auxiliary agents. The moulding materials of polymers containing triazine segments can be processed by means of conventional fusion methods and can be used as hot-melt adhesives and for producing plates, tubes, profiles, injection moulded parts, fibres, coatings and foamed material.

The invention relates to modified inorganic particles with a layer structure with an average particle diameter of 5 nm to 20000 nm, comprising an outer shell consisting of aminoplasts which contain, interlamellarly, multifunctional C&#x2013;Camino compounds of the melamine, melamine derivative, urea, urea derivative, guanidine, guanidine derivative, cyanamide, dicyandiamide, sulphonamide and/or aniline-type. The invention also relates to the production of said modified inorganic particles and to their use in thermoplastics and duroplastics.
