A valve arrangement having a base plate with valve ducts, a main valve a pilot valve with actuating units. In order to obtain a compact design, the base plate constitutes the housing of the main valve and contains a valve spool receiving space with an associated valve spool. The base plate is divided into a central part and two connection parts mounted on opposite ends thereof, which connection parts constitute both a end cover for the valve spool receiving space and also a limb, which delimits an accommodation space for the actuating units. When the connection parts are removed the actuating units and the valve spool may be fitted in an extremely simple fashion.

An annular seal arrangement for use between part placed one inside the other and able to be moved in relation to each other. The seal arrangement is constituted by a sealing ring, which has a seal housing having a substantially U-like cross section and in the form of a ring. The inner ring is elastically resilient while the outer ring functions a sealing element. The invention furthermore provides a valve fitted with such a seal arrangement, a hollow piston able to be used with it and a method for the production thereof.

Annular seal arrangement and a valve fitted therewith

A sealing arrangement for valve has at least one sealing ring, which has a substantially U-like cross section of its housing ring, which is made up of a plurality of parts which are permanently connected together. In the ring space of the housing ring a single, integral sealing element is mounted so as to be able to yield radially and with the housing ring it constitutes a component which may be uniformly handled. A sealing part thereof extends out of the housing opening of the ring space. A sealing ring of this type may be locked in valve housings in order to provide a sealing action between the valve housing and the moving valve piston. The design of the sealing rings makes them suitable for robotized assembly.

A valve component group comprising a terminal plate containing fluid terminal ducts and a main valve arranged thereon. Between these two elements there is an intermediate plate which carries pilot valves for the main valve. For the supply of power to the pilot valves there are electrical leads with a connector thereon to provide a detachable electrical connection between the terminal plate and the intermediate plate. The main valve does not have to be supplied with any electrical power.

Valve component group

A valve which includes a housing, two axially spaced liners and a spool within the liners has fixing screws running through the housing. To make it possible for the screws to be placed near together but without having to make the liners any smaller in diameter, the screw holes are cut through into the liner space in the housing. The screw holes are sealed off from the outside by washers provided under the screw heads and a gasket provided between one outer side of the housing (opposite to the heads) and a support into which the screws extend.

Spool valve

A valve insert is designed for use in valve casings for making up air valves which may be controlled by air under pressure or by a mechanical system and which are normally open or closed. The valve insert is made up of a housing, which is open at its two ends and has two groups of outwardly running openings, which are separated from each other by an outer gasket ring. The valve further has a spool with sealing rings. One end the spool has a hook having a neck part which is spaced from the spool axis and a hook end which is normal to the neck part. The end part of the hook extends past the axis of the spool a distance which is at least equal to the distance of the neck part of the hook from the axis of the spool. The diameter of the hook end is somewhat smaller than the distance between the hook end and the end face of the spool. The sealing rings are so placed that, on operation of the valve and motion of the spool, one inner sealing ring is moved over one group of openings.

Valve insert and valves designed therewith

A pneumatic control for cyclic successive activation of a plurality of pressure fluid consumers and comprising a series of control modules abutting each other in side by side relation for controlling activation of respective ones of the consumers. Each control module comprises a logic plate containing an AND gate and an OR gate and supporting a bistable impulse valve. Each control module further includes a connection plate having connecting openings in its front and rear sides for communication between adjacent modules and means for connecting to the associated consumer. An intermediate seal plate interposed between the connection plate and logic plate has channels therethrough connecting the gates and bistable valve on the logic plate with the connecting openings and connecting means in the connection plate in a manner determined by the pattern of such channels in such intermediate seal plate. The end, or last, control module in the series has an intermediate seal plate differing in the arrangement of its connecting channels from the intermediate seal plates of the preceding control modules to assist in starting a new operating cycle of the plurality of control modules and their associated consumers.

Pneumatic circuit arrangement

A piston and cylinder device with a piston mounted for reciprocating movement in the cylinder has on the outside of the cylinder an elongated mounting element comprising two guiding members on each of which a limit switch is mounted for positioning longitudinally of the cylinder. The limit switch is formed with a switch blade of ferromagnetic material and the piston has an annular rim constituted of permanent magnetic material. The switches can be adjusted longitudinally for the purpose of adjusting the stroke of the piston.
