A magnetic resonance apparatus has a magnet unit at least partially surrounding an examination region, a local coil, and a local coil positioning device. The local coil positioning device includes a transmission device arranged at the local coil to transmit signals and at least one signal reception device arranged at a fixed position relative to the examination region to detect the signals sent by the signal transmission device. A corresponding local coil positioning device comprising a signal transmission device to transmit signals and at least one signal reception device to detect signals sent by the signal transmission device. A local coil for an examination in a magnetic resonance apparatus has a signal transmission device, advantageously an ultrasound signal transmission device. The position of the local coil can be automatically determined by the signal transmission device and the at least one signal reception device without an intervention by a person overseeing the magnetic resonance apparatus being necessary. A positioning of the local coil can thus be conducted particularly quickly and without the risk of an incorrect positioning. The examination duration is reduced, the comfort of the patient is increased and a better utilization of the magnetic resonance apparatus is enabled.

Magnetic resonance apparatus, and local coil and local coil positioning device therefor

A system and method is disclosed for performing maintenance on a mission critical system while minimizing unavailability of the system to users. The system includes software storage having at least production and maintenance portions. Initially, the maintenance and production portions are set to be identical and the system is programmed to operate from the production portion. During maintenance operations, the system is taken off line and the maintenance is performed only on the maintenance portion, leaving the production portion unaltered. Until the maintenance is complete, if the system is required to be available, it may be brought back on-line and directed to continue to operate from the production portion. Once maintenance is complete, the maintenance portion is designated as the production portion and vice versa. The system is then directed to operate from the newly maintained production portion.

This is followed by automatically generating components based on the developed component types. The development process steps are preceded by an adaptation process step, during which the functionality of all component types is defined for all the platforms.

A contact member for electrical switching devices, in particular contactors, having a linear power supply conductor and an arc runner disposed at a distance from the contact face of the linear power supply conductor. The arc runner has a U-shaped design having an unattached end which receives the electric arc. The unattached end is in the same plane as the contact face of the power supply conductor. The U-shaped portions of the arc runner are displaced in parallel and laterally away from the contact face of the linear power supply conductor. The attached end of the U-shaped arc runner is sued to secure the arc runner. For this purpose, a groove is introduced into a block-shaped power supply conductor. A segment, joined to the attached end of the arc runner, is inserted into this groove for securing purposes.

Contact member for electrical switching devices

A switching device is provided for electrical switchgear, particularly contactors. The switching device includes a step-shaped, bowed current lead with a contact portion cooperating with a contact portion of a switch bridge. The switching device also includes a U-shaped arc chute and a fastening bolt. The arc chute surrounds the contact portion with an air gap so that the electrical connection is made solely via the fastening bolt. The edge portions of the arc chute are set back in the area of the contact portion so that the contact portion of the contact bridge cannot come in contact with the arc chute even though the contact bridge may be obliquely positioned.
