A system for the air-conditioning of the interior of a motor vehicle having an engine cooling circuit is provided which has a water/air heat exchanger and a water/water heat exchanger connected in series in the engine cooling circuit. The water/air heat exchanger is arranged upstream of the water/water heat exchanger. The water/water heat exchanger is between the water/air heat exchanger and panel heat exchangers which are located in the interior of the vehicle.

System for the air-conditioning of the interior of a motor vehicle

A front body structure for motor vehicles, with an end wall and with an equipment space which is arranged in front of the end wall in the engine space and is partitioned off from the latter and which is covered at the top by an engine hood, there being in the central region of the end wall and air-passage orifice for a blower located in the equipment space as part of a heating air-conditioning system. To ensure that sensitive built-in parts are accommodated so as to be protected and that, at the same time, the front body structure is reinforced, the invention proposes to divide the equipment space into three regions by means of longitudinal walls serving at the same time for stiffening, and to supplement the transverse wall of the central region, this transverse wall facing the engine space, with an attached half-shell, to form the hollow girder serving for guiding communicating lines such as electrical lines.

Front body structure for motor vehicle

A fresh air supply device for a heating, ventilating and/or air-conditioning installation of a motor vehicle is provided wherein the fresh air enters through a gap between the windshield and the hood into an air collecting tank. In order to prevent the admission of moisture to an air filter and to prolong its useful life, the water flowing off the windshield and entrained by the airstream is received by a channel oriented in the transverse direction of the vehicle. This channel is followed by a grill for separating out larger particulate matter entrained in the airstream. A downward-pointing ledge adjoins the grill for further demoisturizing and to deflect the air and at least partially covers a dust filter which is arranged in such a position in the airstream that dust dropping from its dirty side falls freely downwards.

A front assembly for motor vehicles, with a cross-member extending underneath a windshield and with an end wall which adjoins the cross-member at the bottom and in front of which is located, on the same side as the engine space, an equipment space which is divided into a central space and lateral spaces adjacent to the control space, each on the right and left respectively and which is partitioned off from the engine space by partition walls, the end wall possessing, in the region of the central part space, a passage orifice for air conveyed by a blower of a heating and or airconditioning system of the vehicle. To make it possible to ensure optimum cable connection between the right and left part spaces, at least in the upper part of the central part space, there are two partition walls arranged one behind one another in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, these partition walls enclosing a channel open at the top, which serves for the laying of electrical lines or the like and which is sealed off tightly by means of the closed engine hood.

Front assembly for motor vehicles

An aggregate space or assembly compartment arranged between an engine compartment or a trunk and a splash panel of a motor vehicle. The aggregate space is closed off by means of a hood which can be swung upwardly and has an air inlet slot between an end edge of the aggregate space on a window side thereof and an adjoining zone of a body portion of the motor vehicle. The aggregate space accommodates an aggregate part of a heating/ventilating and/or air conditioning unit which in the interior of the aggregate space, takes over air deflecting and air distributing functions. The aggregate part includes a jacket for enhancing a water deposition or separation and a water drainage. Fresh air entering the aggregate space is conducted and deflected along the jacket and then passed to an air inlet opening set into an underside of the aggregate part. The air leaves the aggregate space through the inlet opening in an essentially upwardly oriented direction.
