A printing plate cylinder for a printing machine has a rotatable cylinder mandrel and a sleeve that is at least partially positionable over the cylinder mandrel. The angular positions of the mandrel and the sleeve are alignable to each other by a male register element which is fixed on one of the two elements to be aligned, and a female register element which is part of the corresponding other element to be aligned. Both the male and female register elements remain in working connection with each other if the elements to be aligned are in the set position relative to each other. At least one of the male and female register elements is controlled by movement of the other element to be aligned.

Printing plate cylinder registration

A printing machine with at least one inking unit which has at least two cylinders which are set against each other during the printing operation and can be rotated by at least one drive. The printing machine is provided with sensors for recording parameters of the rotary motion of the cylinders such as the torque and speed. A setting mechanism is provided for setting the at least two cylinders against each other in radial direction. The control unit is configured to trigger the setting mechanism to set the at least two cylinders against each other. The at least two cylinders are brought to different circumferential velocities and set against each other. The relative position of the two cylinders is recorded or maintained when at least one parameter of the rotary motion of the at least two cylinders exceeds a threshold value.

Device and method for setting at least two cylinders of a printing machine against each other

A device for measuring and setting the web tension on a printing press with several inking units (D) has measuring means (M) for measuring the web tension and setting means (F) for setting the web tension, using which the web tension can be set actively in the case of unsteady web tension conditions. The measuring means (M) and the setting means (F) are disposed in such a manner that the web tension can be measured and set between the print areas of two inking units. A control device is provided, which controls the setting means based on the measured values of the measuring means (M).

A method for registering a rotary press for a printing process, in which 'n' inking systems (Fn) each produce monochrome printed images and print one on top of the other thereby producing n-colored printed images, includes producing the images of a printed material with at least one sensor station, recording information on rotary movements of printing plate cylinders (Dn), and using the images and the information to produce correction signals which actuate the cylinders until a deviation of the images of the respective inking systems from a desired position on the material lies within a defined range of tolerance values. During the registering method, one printing plate cylinder at a time is in the printing position, the sensor station produces the printed images, and the correction signals are obtained based on the image produced by the respective cylinder and the information on the rotary movements of at least one cylinder.

Registering method

A multi-color rotary printing machine has one printing plate support assigned to the colors that are transferred onto the print substrate. This printing plate support supports a printing plate and is attached to a mandrel or a cylinder of a rotary printing machine in order to transfer the print image onto the print substrate. The rotary printing machine has register devices that determine the position of the printing plates with respect to one another and that have sensors to determine the positions of the printing plate support in the printing machine.

Polychrome rotary press

A method for pre-registration in a printing machine with multiple printing units in which phases of the printing cylinders involved in the printing process are so mutually attuned that the deviations of the printing images of the different printing cylinders lie within mutual capture areas, includes using the deviations in the context of the registration of an ongoing printing operation, respectively, for the determination of the position of the printing images or parts thereof. The web to be printed, which is fed during the pre-registration to the printing machine, has at least one mark, which passes through different printing units during the pre-registration. The time points at which the mark passes the measuring points in the printing units are recorded, and these time points are set with reference to the angular position of the printing images of the respective printing units at those time points.

Pre-register adjustment

A power semiconductor module contains a power component and a sensor component. The power component is disposed on a first substrate. The sensor component is electrically and/or mechanically insulated from the power component by being disposed on an individual, separate second substrate. In this manner, disturbances of the sensor system section caused by the power section and its operation can be avoided particularly reliably.

A substrate for power semiconductor modules with a through-plating of solder, includes two metal plates and a ceramic plate which is seated as a layer between the metal plates and has a through hole formed therein. The substrate is plated through by making a through hole in one of the metal plates in alignment with the through hole in the ceramic plate and applying a paste solder to one side of the substrate. The substrate is then subjected to a furnace step, so that the paste solder flows into the through holes and the solder makes a permanent contact between the two metal plates. A method for producing the substrate is also provided.
