A spinning can transporter for a plurality of spinning cans disposed on a platform. The platform has a standing place for the operator or driver equipped with controls for steering the transporter. To make it possible for the operator/driver to exchange spinning cans from the operator's standing place, these controls are always within reach of the operator. This results because the controls are adjustably mounted on the transporter loading platform. In addition, there is at least one can loading area in front of, and at least one can loading area behind the operator's standing place to allow the operator to move relative to the cans to alternatively dispose of or receive cans onto the platform.

Operator controlled spinning can transporter

A transporting and storage system for spinning machines is described, whose object is to achieve supply between machines that fill spinning cans and machines that empty spinning cans with the least possible loss in terms of travel distances and utility. According to the invention, the can distribution from the machine that fills the spinning cans to the removal can storage area before the machine that empties the spinning cans is maintained unchanged. Between the two machines, preferably three types of can storage areas are provided, namely a storage area to be filled with full cans following the first machine, a main storage area for absorbing production fluctuations between the first and second machines, and a removal storage area for the second machine. In the first storage area, there must always be empty cans, while in the third storage area there must always be full cans, so that no down times of the machines for lack of cans will occur.

Transporting and storage system for spinning cans

A method for the exchange of full for empty rectangular spinning cans for a spinning machine having a plurality of spinning stations is described. With the method a conveying track is provided respectively between two rows of n spinning stations for the feeding of full sliver cans and the removal of empty sliver cans. In order to achieve that the conveying track can be simultaneously used as a holding area of a can circulation, as many as possible initially full sliver cans are stored on the conveying track and are exchanged in steps for empty cans at the spinning stations in the course of a back and forth movement in the conveying direction. In the course of the can exchange the exchange phase can move with a back and forth movement in the conveying direction of a can block present on the conveying track in one case along the closely packed can block from one can to the other or, in another case, when the cans are spaced apart beforehand on the conveying track, it can take place in the gap distance in one back and forth movement of the can block.

Method for exchanging sliver cans at a spinning machine

A spinning can stand of a fiber sliver-processing machine such as a flyer or a jet spinning frame having a plurality of spindles in at least one row. Rectangular cans are used instead of round cans for reducing the expenditure for exchanging the spinning cans. Each unreeling spinning can or operating can has an instantaneous filling level. The filling level differs between adjacent operating cans by a fraction of the can filling. A full can or reserve can is allocated to the position of the operating can emptied to the greatest extent.

Spinning can stand

A manipulating device for can changing between a can changing carriage and a row of payout cans in a spinning machine is described for the case where rectangular cans are used. To automate the transfer of the cans without substantially increasing the expense for space in the region of the carriage compared with the case of manual transfer, and without having to engage an empty can, which is to be pulled out of a row of cans, from behind or beneath the can, a substantially one-piece can carrier is provided, which is supported displaceably, crosswise to the carriage travel direction, in a rail guide on the carriage and which on each of its longitudinal ends has a preferably pivotably supported gripper, each for coupling to one short side of the cans.

Manipulating device on a can changing carriage of a spinning machine

A circulating conveyor with roller and/or sliding guides, as well as with at least one engaging element for transporting articles to be conveyed, such as sliver cans, is described. In order to achieve that the circulating conveyor can convey and store simultaneously in two directions, at least two roller or sliding guides located next to each other are provided for conveying and storing in one or both longitudinal guide directions, wherein the engaging element can be driven along the guides.

Circulating conveyor

A drawing frame system includes first and second drawing frames, wherein the second drawing frame utilizes the sliver produced by the first drawing frame. A can filling device is situated at the output of the first drawing frame for charging consecutively supplied cans with sliver. The second drawing frame has first and second creel rows each holding a plurality of cans. Sliver is supplied to the second drawing frame from the cans alternatingly from the first and second creel rows. A coiler can transport system moves sliver-filled cans from the can filling device to the first and second creel rows and also moves empty cans from the first and second creel rows to the can filling device. The coiler can transport system includes an intake track extending to the can filling device for supplying sliver-filled cans to the can filling device; an outlet track extending from the can filling device for removing empty cans from the can filling device; as well as first and second conveyors situated along the first and second creel rows, respectively, for moving full cans into and empty cans out of the creel rows. Both the first and the second conveyor are connected to the intake track and the outlet track.

Coiler can transport system between two drawing frames

A conveying apparatus for supporting an article such as a product carrier during its conveyance is disclosed. The conveying apparatus includes a transferring track segment and a receiving track segment which are positioned laterally side by side, and with the transferring track segment being progressively inclined from a horizontal orientation to a laterally tilted orientation, and with the receiving track segment being progressively inclined from a laterally tilted orientation to a horizontal orientation. As result, the article being conveyed is rotated about a longitudinal axis and transferred to the receiving track segment. The apparatus finds particular utility in a yarn spinning plant, wherein yarn packages may be conveyed in a horizontal orientation and then rotated to a vertical orientation to facilitate packaging.

Product conveying apparatus

An apparatus for transporting and exchanging containers of textile strand material at a textile strand processing machine having a plurality of processing stations is disclosed. The device includes a guide device for guiding containers around the machine. An endless drive connection reciprocally movable in the transport path and having flexible portions reciprocally movable through the corner sections of the transport path is included as well as a drive means for reciprocally driving the drive connection. Container engaging elements are also provided for drivingly engaging containers during movement of the drive connection. The drive connection may include rods disposed in the straight portions of the transport path which are connected to the flexible portions. The container engaging elements may comprise pawls mounted on transverse shafts which may be spring biased into the container engaging dispositions. The drive may act directly on at least one of the rods, a sprocket located at the corner sections and the flexible portions.

Device for transporting and exchanging containers of textile strand

An apparatus for transporting a coiler can from a sliver-producing fiber processing machine to a sliver-using fiber processing machine includes a transport carriage provided with wheels; a motor for propelling the transport carriage along a path of travel; and ground-supported rails for positively guiding the transport carriage along its path of travel.

Coiler can conveyor with positive guidance between machine rows

A textile yarn spinning apparatus is disclosed for continuously producing a plurality of synthetic filament yarns, and wherein a plurality of winding machines are arranged in rows along a service aisle. A doffer travels along the service aisle from winding machine to winding machine, and the doffer receives at each serviced winding machine the full packages from the winding spindle and delivers the packages to a transport carriage. The transport carriage delivers the full packages to a temporary package storage area composed of high-rise creels arranged in rows, and they are later delivered from the storage area to a further processing station where they are manually inspected and packaged for shipment. The temporary package storage area permits continuous operation of the apparatus over a twenty four hour period, with the manual inspection and packaging being conducted during a normal eight hour work shift.

Textile yarn spinning apparatus

An equipment for transporting, handling and feeding stock bobbins to a loom having a preparation station (5) for the charging of bobbin holders (12) with stock bobbins (4) and a transport loop (7) for transporting these bobbin holders (12) towards looms. The looms are arranged in groups and for returning bobbin holders (12') containing empty bobbin tubes towards the preparation station (5), as well as at least one storage section (7c) branching off the transport loop (7) for receiving a number of the bobbin holders (12, 12') which corresponds with the need of bobbins at the time by at least one of the groups of looms (1a, 1b, . . . 1n). For the exchange of the bobbin holders (12' or 12 respectively) on the looms a loading mechanism (18) is provided which is mounted on a secondary transport mechanism (10) which may be moved independently of the transport loop (7) towards a number of groups of looms (1a, 1b, . . . 1n) and is intended for temporarily receiving the bobbin holders (12, 12') which may be fed from and returned to the storage section (7c). Through this execution a simple clearly arranged method of construction of the equipment is achieved, which makes possible a loading of the looms with stock bobbins to match the needs, which may be automated in a simple manner.

Equipment for transporting and handling weft-yarn stock bobbins

A mechanism for feeding weft yarn stock bobbins to a loom includes a bobbin frame (3) for at least two stock bobbins (4) which may be fitted to bobbin holders (38) having longitudinal axes (L) which may be aligned on a common yarn guide member (6). The bobbin holders (38) are each formed on a bobbin carrier (10, 10') intended for receiving one of the stock bobbins (4) and able by means of a holder (30) of a charging mechanism to be fastened to the bobbin frame (3) and removed from the bobbin frame, the bobbin carrier having a yarn guide unit (45) for feeding the piece (A) at the start of the weft yarn (5) wound onto this stock bobbin (4) to the common yarn guide member (6). The yarn guide unit (45) is formed on a carrier part (44) able to swing between a normal position suitable for seizing the starting piece (A) and a deflected position in which in an operating position of the bobbin carrier (10, 10') predetermined on the bobbin frame (3) and aligned with the yarn guide member (6), the yarn guide unit (45) may be set in a definite yarn delivery position and may be brought together with the yarn guide member (6). A simplification of the charging process and delivery of the yarn is accordingly achievable.

Feeding and removing weft yarn stock bobbins to a loom bobbin frame

A transport system for transporting tube support members between textile machines includes a mobile transport unit having a plurality of superposed floorings each of which supports and guides several rows of the tube support members. An onsite transfer assembly adjacent each textile machine is operable to simultaneously load tube support members onto the parallel support paths of the mobile support unit while unloading tube support members from the parallel paths onto the textile machine. Each flooring of the mobile support unit includes a transverse support surfaces at each end of the parallel support paths onto which a newly loaded row of tube support members can be positioned for subsequent movement into the parallel support paths. Each flooring also includes an offload transverse support surface for supporting a row of the tube support members for transverse movement thereof onto an intermediate holding assembly of the onsite transfer apparatus (change assembly to apparatus above). An onload platform device is operable to move a plurality of tube support members to a selected vertical position adjacent each of the floorings of the mobile support unit for transfer of the tube support members on the onload platform device onto the onload transverse support surface of the flooring. An offload platform device is operable to receive a plurality of the tube support members which have been offloaded from one of the floorings to vertically move the tube support members to another vertical level at which the tube support members are advanced along an entry path to the textile machine.

Flexible transport system for groupwise transport of textile yarn

A transporting carriage for conveying a coiler can of curved outer circumferential surface in an upright orientation between a can stand of a sliver producing fiber processing machine and a can stand of a sliver comsuming fiber processing machine includes an apparatus for transferring the coiler can from the carriage to the can stand and from the can stand to the carriage in a linear transferring direction. The apparatus includes a gripper element having a jaw opening defined by an inner concave surface of the gripper element for engaging the coiler can along a portion of the curved outer circumferential surface; a turning mechanism for rotating the gripper element along a path generally parallel to the curvilinear length to alter an orientation of the jaw opening; and a linear shifting arrangement for linearly displacing the gripper element parallel to the linear transferring direction for placing the gripper element into a first position in which it is situated within an outline of the carriage and into a second position in which it is situated externally of the outline.
