A bandpass filter, includes a series of waveguide resonators positioned along a common longitudinal axis so as to define at least a first resonator and a last resonator, whereby adjacent resonators are mechanically linked to one another by a common coupling plate of sheet metal member which is formed with coupling slots for electrically coupling the resonators, with the first and last resonators each being closed by an end plate of sheet metal. Each resonator is formed from a longitudinally welded sheet metal, and the end plates and the common coupling plate are each formed with circumferentially spaced tabs which are bent so as to extend along the adjoining waveguide, whereby the tabs are welded to the waveguide, and the joints between the end plates and the common coupling plate, on the one hand, and the adjacent waveguides, on the other hand, are soldered

A broadband coaxial overvoltage protector includes a short-circuit line segment connected in parallel with a coaxial line section, a transforming coaxial line section with a length <&lgr;/4, with one end of the transforming coaxial line section connected in series to the coaxial line section, and an open-circuit line segment connected in series to the other end of the transforming line section. The length of the transforming line section is selected in such a way that the curve representing the frequency dependence of the reflection coefficient for two different operating frequencies, which may be widely spaced, has a respective minimum at each of the two frequencies.

An implant for the jawbone includes a shaft portion and a conical retention portion which is provided with displacement projections. The displacement projections are sickle-shaped retention wedges which are provided on the retention portion located opposite each other. Since the retention portion is conical and the retention wedges result in an oval cross-section, the implant can be inserted into the prepared alveolus having the same shape and a rotation of at most 90.degree. results in locking of the implant in the interradicular alveolar bone to provide primary stability.

An optical fiber plug-in connection includes a coupler with a coupler centering sleeve, a coupler sleeve centrally retained within the coupler centering sleeve and a fiber containing coupler pin accommodated in the coupler sleeve. The coupler cooperates with a plug which includes a plug centering sleeve insertable in the coupler centering sleeve, a cable clamp supported in the plug centering sleeve, and a fiber containing plug pin which is radially elastically supported relative to the plug centering sleeve.

A waveguide device for producing absorption or attenuation includes a waveguide section which is provided with an external absorber material. For allowing a transfer of the high-frequency power into the absorber material, the wave section is provided with coupling apertures via which the absorber material is in connection with the interior of the waveguide section.

A waveguide usable as absorber or as attenuator for high radio-frequency powers up to highest frequencies includes a tube with a dissipative material at whose inside a metallized layer is applied. The thickness of the metallized layer changes along the length of the tube with its initial thickness and end thickness determined in such a manner that a constant power density is obtained along the waveguide.

For the transmission of a plurality of light channels between two parts which rotate relative to each other, an optical transmission element is arranged with its optical axis OA coaxial to the axis of rotation and light transmitters in different radial regions. By convex lenses or mirrors the bundles of rays coming from the light transmitters are parallelized and impinge on the optical transmission element which individually focuses the bundles of rays. In order to obtain an imaging scale of 1:1 a synchronously rotating rhomboid prism or a parabolic mirror can be used. In addition, HF channels can be transmitted.

The invention relates to an HF terminating impedance in strip conductor technique in which the resistive layer is enclosed between two ceramic plates which are clamped from the outside by metallic heat dissipating plates, the freedom from reflection of the terminating impedance being ensured by the lateral edge lines of the resistive layer satisfying the condition ##EQU1## To ensure an intimate heat conduction contact between the resistive layer and the ceramic plates and the ceramic plates and the adjoining clamping plate without introducing bending stresses into the ceramic plates which might cause fracture, at the contact surfaces a soft metal foil, preferably of lead, is inserted which is prevented from cold flow by a rolled-in grating or netting, in particular of bronze or copper. The ceramic plates may be made plane parallel (for smaller powers) or wedge-shaped, by which the advantage can be achieved that per unit length substantially the same power density is obtained and because of the favorable heat dissipation via the ceramic plates and the metal plates clamping them a high permanent power can be taken up with compact construction.
