Separation of dust in a quenching device arranged downstream of an entrained-flow gasification system is increased by a baffle with a double deflection system for deflecting the crude gas at approximately 180&#xb0; angle. An additional spraying element is provided. The arrangement can be single-sided or double-sided, or can include an additional weir.

Quenching system for cooling and cleaning dust-conducting crude gasification gas

A device for treating steam-saturated crude gases from the entrained flow gasification of fuels before entry into heat exchanges sited upstream of a crude gas converting operation.
