The invention relates to a substrate (), especially a glass substrate, coated with at least one dielectric thin-film layer deposited by sputtering, especially magnetically enhanced sputtering and preferably reactive sputtering in the presence of oxygen and/or nitrogen, with exposure to at least one ion beam () coming from an ion source (), characterized in that said dielectric layer exposed to the ion beam has a refractive index that can be adjusted according to the parameters of the ion source, said ion source being a linear source.

A heated window with an electrically conducting surface coating that may be electrically connected as a heating element to a voltage source using a first and a second current-collecting rail and that is split into a first part, a heated look-through region, and a second part, an additional heated region. In the heated window at least two current-collecting rails are arranged in the additional heated region so that the direction in which the current flows in the additional heated region is roughly perpendicular to the direction in which the current flows in the heated look-through region.

A curved, transparent laminated glazing is made of at least two fixed panes and of a multilayer laminate placed between them. The laminate includes at least one support film provided with a thin layer and with external adhesive layers, as well as with a marginal strip of an opaque material for delimiting the viewing area of the laminated glazing on at least one side. The support film, which extends over the viewing area, is cut to size according to the invention in such a way that its cut edge is still just covered by the marginal strip at least in a direction of viewing in transmission.

In a laminated glass pane comprising two glass sheets (1, 2) and a transparent support film (4) having an infra red reflecting surface coating (3), connected to the two glass sheets (1, 2) by adhesive layers (5, 6), the first adhesive layer (5) has a thickness of at most about 50 .mu.m. The second adhesive layer (6) preferably has a thickness of 0.76 mm.
