A microscope objective changer includes a changing device for changing at least two objectives. A movable objective holder corresponds to each objective. Each movable objective holder is configured to receive a respective one of the objectives and to transfer the respective objective along a respective displacement path from an allocated stand-by position into an operating position. A carrier is associated with each objective holder and includes a guide groove constituting the respective displacement path. Each displacement path includes a first portion beginning at the respective stand-by position and extends substantially perpendicular to the optical axis and a second portion directly bordering the first portion that includes a downwardly component in a direction parallel to the optical axis such that each objective holder is movable from the respective stand-by position to the optical axis of the operating position when reaching a lower end of the second portion of the displacement path.

Objective changer

A comparison optical system () comprising several image-acquiring optical subsystems is disclosed. A bridge () mechanically and optically connects the optical subsystems to one another. Each of the image-acquiring optical subsystems possesses an XYZ stage (), movable in motorized fashion, on which a sample to be examined is placed. Also provided is a control unit which moves the XYZ stages (), movable in motorized fashion, synchronously in all three spatial directions. The synchronous motion of the XYZ stages () can be switched on and off by the user.

Automated microscope

An ergonomic microscope () and a microscope carrier () are disclosed. The microscope encompasses a stand () which possesses a stand base () that defines an external contour (). The microscope () is placed onto the microscope carrier (). The microscope carrier () comprises a body () and a left and a right hand rest (). The left and the right hand rest () are attached to the body () so as to pivot freely and independently of one another. A height adjustment of the microscope carrier () results in a pivoting of the hand rests () in such a way that their front edges () rest on the bench surface () regardless of the height adjustment.

Ergonomic microscope and microscope carrier

A microscope includes a microscope arm having an interior and an exterior surface. The interior surface has at least one recessed portion disposed therein extending from the interior surface of the microscope arm to an inner recess surface of the microscope arm. The recessed portion forms a surface for gripping the microscope. A portion of the recessed portion is, preferably, disposed above the stage and below the objective turret of the microscope. The recessed portion may comprise a textured surface for increasing the static coefficient of friction thereof.

Means for transporting a microscope

The present invention concerns a microscope. The microscopeencompasses a microscope stand, an objectivehaving an optical axis, a microscope stageserving to receive a specimen, and a focusing deviceserving to focus the specimen. With the focusing device, the objective or the microscope stageis positionable relative to the microscope standin the direction of the optical axisof the objective. The focusing devicecomprises at least one operating elementwith which an operator controls the positioning of the objectiveor of the microscope stage. For adaptation of the spatial arrangement of the operating elementto the needs of an operator, the microscopeaccording to the present invention is characterized in that the spatial arrangement of the operating elementrelative to the microscope standis modifiable.

Microscope

The invention relates to a microscope and a stand consisting of a first housing shell and a second housing shell. The first and second housing shells define a base part on which the stand rests. The stand is generally C-shaped, and a stand base cover closes the stand toward the outside. At least one connecting means is provided for the first and second housing shells. The connecting means is not accessible from outside the stand when the stand base cover is in place.

A microscope having a moveable object holder forming a part of a stage assembly. The stage assembly includes at least one x-y control, for moving the stage assembly or a portion thereof, e.g. the object holder, in a horizontal x direction, which x direction is parallel to the shoulders of an operating microscopist sitting square to the microscope, and for moving the stage assembly or portion thereof in a horizontal y direction perpendicular to the x direction. The microscope has dual controls for moving the stage assembly or a portion thereof in a z direction perpendicular to the x-y directions and parallel to an optical path into an objective lens of the microscope, wherein the x-y control and z controls are located so as to permit single hand operation of both controls with minimal hand movement or so as to permit comfortable ergonomic dual hand operation while permitting the shoulders of an operating microscopist to remain aligned parallel to the x direction.

A lamp assembly for a microscope, the microscope having a stand, comprising a female member comprising a first electrical socket, the socket arranged to provide a source of electricity for a lamp, the female receptacle located inside the microscope stand, and, a male member comprising at least two electrical pin terminals arranged to matingly engage the first electrical socket to receive electricity therefrom, and, a second socket electrically connected to the at least two electrical pin terminals, the second socket arranged to hold the lamp and provide electricity thereto.

The invention describes an apparatus for changing objective lenses in a microscope, the microscope being used primarily with a microscope stage that has a so-called fixed stage arrangement. The disposition of the objective lens turret in the microscope makes it possible to avoid damaging manipulators or samples during an objective lens change. The damage is avoided due to a lateral tilt of the rotational axis of the objective lens turret relative to the first and the second side walls of the microscope. The lateral tilt of the turret also ensures that a particular part of the sample remains located in the field of view of the microscope after the lens change. The entire process of objective lens change, as well as the magnification setting and focusing necessary for the purpose, is performed in a completely automatic and motorized fashion.
