An automobile pneumatic tire comprises a multiple-ply carcass extending in-between two bead rings having allocated bead fillers, a belt arrangement between the plies of the carcass and a tread strip, and rubber reinforcement plies in the sidewall sections assuming a supporting function where the tire is deflated. A first rubber reinforcement ply is inside a first ply of the carcass, a second rubber reinforcement ply is between the first ply of the carcass and the second ply of the carcass, and a third rubber reinforcement ply is between the second ply of the carcass and a third ply of the carcass. The three rubber reinforcement plies extend down with their ends staggered in relation to each other from the bead core area to the edge area of the belt ply. The three rubber plies have different heights in radial direction and different thickness over the height of the sidewall.

A sealing preparation for tire problems is proposed which seals in wet conditions, at low and high temperatures and with defects at the transition between the tread and the side wall of the tire. The sealing preparation contains natural rubber latex or a combination of rubber latex and compatible adhesive resin. Furthermore, various devices are proposed for introducing the sealing preparation into the tire and for the pumping up. An air compressor, or liquefied dinitrogenoxide, or sulphur hexafluoride are preferably used with these devices as a pressure source.

A vehicle tire is described having at least one carcass ply extending between bead regions, a tread region ( ) and a belt arrangement ( ) disposed between the carcass and the tread as well as a tread profile provided in the tread region having at least one overwide circumferential groove ( ) disposed in particular away from the middle and on the inner side of the tire, with the tire region disposed beneath the overwide circumferential groove, which has in particular a width of more than 30 mm, being formed with additional localised reinforcement in the axial direction.

A tire puncture sealing preparation is directed to sealing in wet conditions, at low and high temperatures and with defects at the transition between the tread and the side wall of the tire. Preparations for the sealing of tires with punctures are proposed, which contain the latex of synthetic isoprene rubbers or the latex of natural rubber together with latexes of synthetic isoprene rubbers, acrylate rubbers and/or methacrylate rubbers. The sealing preparations can contain an adhesive resin compatible with the latexes from the group comprising polyvinyl esters, polyvinyl alcohol and/or polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and also a pigment, with natural rubber latex, synthetic rubber latexes or their mixtures being used as rubber latex. Furthermore, an apparatus is described for the sealing and pumping up of the tire using an airbag inflation charge and also tires with an integrated sealing preparation.

A vehicle tire includes a tread portion provided on each side of the tire equator with a plurality of main grooves, displaced relative to one another in the circumferential direction, extending axially outwardly from starting positions near the tire equator beyond a position at 25% of the ground contact width from the tire equator. The main grooves on each side are inclined at an acute angle which becomes greater in the course of the longitudinal extent of the main grooves.

A vehicle tire having a directionally bound tread pattern is described in which an inner circumferential groove is provided on both sides of a central circumferential rib and in each case has a smaller width than the circumferential rib, and in which an intermediate tread zone is in each case formed between the inner circumferential groove and the respective outer circumferential groove in which oblique grooves are provided which are curved in an arc-shaped manner in the direction of the shoulder regions.
