N-phenylbenzamide derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## wherein the radicals R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3, which can be the same or different, are a hydrogen atom or a methyl radical, as well as the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof for controlling refractory tumors in mammals are described.

N-phenylbenzamide derivatives

N-phenylbenzamide derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## wherein the radicals R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3, which can be the same or different, are a hydrogen atom or a methyl radical, as well as the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof for controlling malignant, proliferative and auto-immune diseases and for immunosuppressive therapy upon grafting are described.

New 1,6-naphthyridinone derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## are herein described wherein R.sup.1 represents an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic or heteroaromatic ring;

Use of 1,6-naphthyridinone derivatives in treating pulmonary thrombosis

The invention is concerned with partially new compounds of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group with up to four carbon atoms and R.sup.2 a substituted phenyl radical and the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds can be prepared according to known procedures and show surprisingly a cardiovascular efficacy. They are capable of decompensating cardiac insufficiencies to a large extent. In addition to the new compounds, claim is also made for pharmaceutical compositions which contain compounds according to the general formula and their application for controlling cardiac and vascular diseases.

3-aryl-3-pyrroline derivatives

The invention is concerned with 7H-dibenzo(a,c)-cyclohepten-5-one-(7) derivatives of general formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 can be the same or different, a hydrogen atom, an alkyl radical containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a heterocyclic ring containing 3 to 6 carbon atoms,

7H-dibenzo(a,c,)cyclohepten-5-one-(7) derivatives

The present invention provides compounds of the general formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which are the same or different, are unsubstituted or substituted aromatic rings, Alk is a straight-chained or branched lower hydrocarbon chain and Z is a hydrogen atom, with the proviso that when Alk is a straight-chained hydrocarbon chain, Z can also be a lower alkylamino radical of the general formula II ##STR2## in which R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and are hydrogen atoms or straight-chained or branched lower alkyl radicals or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, can also form a ring optionally containing further hetero atoms; and the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof. The present invention also provides an inventive process for preparing these compounds, as well as pharmaceutical compositions containing them. The compounds I may be used in the therapy of inflammations and they are free of gastrointestinal side effects.

2-pyrrolin-3-carbonitril-derivatives, pharmaceutical compositions

4-Thioxobenzopyrano[2,3-d]-pyrimidine derivatives of the general formulae Ia or Ib ##STR1## are described. Compounds Ia and Ib are tautomers and are valuable intermediates for the preparation of 5H-[1]-benzopyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives having ulcer-protective action without inhibition of secretion.

4-thioxo-benzopyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives

The invention relates to 5H-[1]benzopyrano-[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## which may be prepared by means of a new chemical process and have a protective effect similar to that of cimetidine, but do not exhibit the undesired side effects of antisecretory agents. The invention is based on a new mucoprotective mode of action which prevents lesions of the mucous membrane epithelium to arise.

The present invention provides 5,6;8,9-tetrahydro-7H-dibenz(d,f)azonine derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which are the same or different, are hydrogen or halogen atoms or lower alkyl or alkoxy radicals, R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl radical, R.sup.4 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl or alkanoyl radical and n is 1 or 2; and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof formed with inorganic and organic acids; but excluding 6-benzyl-2,12-dimethoxy-1-hydroxy-7-methyl-5,6;8,9-tetrahydro-7H-dibenz(d, f)azonine in which case R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 are hydrogen, n is 1 and R.sup.3 is methyl. The lower alkyl, alkanoyl and alkoxy radicals are straight chained or branched radicals containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms. The present invention also provides a process for the preparation of these compounds, as well as pharmaceutical compositions containing them.

5,6;8,9-Tetrahydro-7H-dibenz(d,f)azonines

A powder formulation of the dye of the formula ##STR1## which contains sodium chloride and a condensate of .beta.-naphthalenesulfonic acid with formaldehyde, or a sulfomethylation product which is obtained by condensing phenol, formaldehyde and a sulfite or bisulfite in the presence of sodium hydroxide, using a molar ratio of phenol: formaldehyde: sulfite or bisulfite: sodium hydroxide of 1:1.0-4:0.3-1.6:0.05-0.5. The dye formulation is readily soluble in water and gives speck-free prints and dyeings, with a high color yield.

Sulphoximide derivatives of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a phenyl, thienyl, furyl or pyridyl ring; R.sub.2 is a thienyl, furyl, or pyridyl ring; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are the same or are different and are alkyl groups containing up to 6 carbon atoms or together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a pyrrolidine, piperidine, or morpholine ring; and n is a whole number from 1 to 5; and the pharmaceutically acceptable organic and inorganic acid addition and quaternary ammoniuim salts thereof. The compounds of the invention exhibit anti-bronchospasmolytic activity.

Certain heterocyclic sulfoximide derivatives

New 3-cyclicaminoalkoxy-4-phenyl-3-pyrrolin-2-ones are disclosed. These compounds exhibit anti-hypertensive and vasodilatory action.
