A chair, in particular office chair, comprises a seat support with a front seat support part and a rear seat support part which is pivotable in relation thereto about a horizontal pivoting axis. An adjustable-length energy storing device, which is articulated to the seat support parts, serves for adjustment of the two seat support parts relative to each other. An interlocking mechanism is provided for locking the pivotability of the seat support parts relative to each other, the interlocking mechanism being designed for providing a plurality of positions of interlocking of the front seat support part relative to the rear seat support part. The seat support parts of the chair can therefore be interlocked in a selected position of interlocking, meeting a user's wishes. This helps put into practice a chair that offers improved ease and convenience of sitting.

Chair, in particular office chair

A lounge chair with a frame having longitudinal and transverse bars and with spring elements held by the frame. The spring elements being in the form of an elastic textile structure held under prestress between the longitudinal bars and forming a supporting surface covering the frame. The textile structure is made out of synthetic threads. A first prestress of the textile structure at a right angle to the longitudinal bars in a first section is different from a second prestress of the textile structure at a right angle to the longitudinal bars in a second section.

Bedstead

A chair comprises a seat support with a front seat support part and a rear seat support part which is connected thereto via a pivoting axis. An adjustable length energy storing device serves for adjustment relative to each other of the seat support parts. The energy storing device is pivotably supported on the seat support parts at a distance from the pivoting axis. This distance can be modified by means of an adjusting element by operation of a turning handle. The turning handle is connected to the adjusting element via a coupling element, with the axes of rotation of the adjusting element and turning handle not being in alignment. This ensures conveniently accessible modification of the adjusting force of the energy storing device.

Lounger beds have a lying surface made of a textile structure clamped into a frame to permit a division of the lying surface into areas with different tension. A textile structure with elastic threads is fastened to longitudinal spars of the frame. The top side, of the longitudinal space has a curved construction form supporting surfaces for the textile structure only in an exterior area. The longitudinal spars have receiving grooves only on the exterior side for the edge of the textile structure to be clamped in.

Lounge chair

A chair, in particular an office chair, has a so-called synchronous mechanism in the form of a front seat support member stationary in relation to a chair column and a rear seat support member pivotable about a pivot axle in relation to the front seat support member and bearing a back-rest. A seat supports itself on the two seat support members. A blocking lever of a blocking mechanism and having a stop face is articulated on the rear seat support member at a distance from the pivot axle. This stop face is moved by gravity into engagement with a blocking face stationary in relation to the front seat support member. For releasing this locking, the blocking lever is lifted by a blocking actuator arm.

A chair has a chair column on which a front seat support member is fixed. A rear seat support member provided with a back-rest support for a back-rest is joined to the front seat support member by a pivot axle. A seat is supported on the two seat support members. The seat is supported in relation to the rear seat support member by a supporting axle, which is adjustable in height relative to the rear seat support member by a seat pitch adjuster. The seat pitch adjuster can be a retrofit kit.

A work box comprises a central box unit and two lateral box units. Each of the box units has a bottom wall, a front end wall, a rear end wall, two opposing lateral side walls, and adjacent surfaces of complementary shape so that when the work-box is closed it forms an essentially solid block. Guide means of the work-box is arranged between the central box unit and the lateral box units, respectively. The bottom wall of the central box unit comprises downwardly inclined slanted wall portions, with the contour of the central box unit essentially corresponding to a triangular prism. The central box unit opens in an upward direction and has a lower edge defined by the slanted wall portions of its bottom wall, which faces in a downward direction. The upper edges of the front end, rear end, and side walls of the lateral box units define a plane that is parallel to the slanted wall portions of the central box unit.

A mechanism for mounting the seat of a swivel chair to the chair frame, with a first mounting which can be connected to the frame, with a second mounting carried by the first mounting via a joint, which can be connected to the seat and with a spring arrangement for the initial tensioning of the second mounting in an upper position of rest, locking parts on said first and second mounting which are adapted to be engaged and disengaged by a locking slide.

Seat frame

A stackable chair has a leg frame on which a seat and back are mounted. The leg frame comprises two lengths of flat tubing of dumb-bell shaped cross section bent to provide contiguous parallel portions which extend centrally transversely of the seat, portions extending from the ends of the parallel portions toward corner regions of the seat and portions bent downwardly to form the legs which are substantially in a vertical fore-and-aft plane but incline forwardly and rearwardly. When the chairs are stacked the legs of dumb-bell cross section nest with one another. The seat has a width substantially equal to the overall width of the leg frame and has cut-out corner regions to accommodate legs of superposed chairs when stacked. Plastic gliders at the bottom of the legs have support portions extending up along the legs for supporting superposed stacked chairs. The seat and back are mounted on the leg frame by two like supporting and connecting members at opposite sides of the chair, which also have provision for attaching an arm by a single screw or bolt or attaching a linking element for connecting chairs side by side in a row. The linking element is reversible so that it can be mounted with flat connecting lugs on the element directed either up or down.

Stackable and linkable chairs

An office chair in which a backrest and seat are articulated together and the resulting assembly pivotally suspended from the rear end of the side arms which form a pivot point positioned at or near the center of gravity of the chair when occupied. The pivot point is fixed in space by an underlying support system. The lower end of the arm rest is affixed to the rear transverse support arm of a support frame which is, in turn, mounted on the upper end of a vertical support column. The front end of the set member is slidably mounted on a forward cross arm of the support frame through a hexagonally-shaped sliding/locking member in such manner that the back rest and seat may be selectively locked in position or released to adjustably recline (backrest) and slide (seat). The articulated connected between the back rest and seat member is positioned beneath and rearwardly of the aforementioned point of pivotal suspension, so that when the back rest is tilted rearwardly from an upright position the rear portion of the seat member is caused to lower slightly as it slides forwardly. All controls for the chair are located on either end of the aforementioned support arm.
