A lubricant for molding chlorine-containing thermoplastics, which contains ethylene/acrylic acid or ethylene/maleic acid copolymers esterified, in a molar ratio of carboxyl groups to alcoholic hydroxyl groups of from 1:0.2 to 1:1, with C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 -aliphatic alcohols which may or may not contain ether groups, the copolymers, prior to esterification, having a mean molecular weight of from 500 to 10,000 and containing from 2 to 15% by weight of acrylic acid or from 1 to 8% by weight of maleic acid as copolymerized units, the percentages being based on copolymer.

A process for dyeing textile materials, consisting of wool or nylon fibers, with anionic dyes in an aqueous liquor at up to 110.degree. C., wherein dyeing is commenced at a pH of from 7 to 9 and from 0.2 to 5 parts by weight, per 1,000 parts by weight of liquor, of an ester of a saturated C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -carboxylic acid with an alcohol having a tertiary amino group in the 2-position are added at the dyeing temperature to act as a pH regulator.

Process for dyeing wool or nylon fibers

Polyester fibers are dyed with disperse dyes at temperatures above 100.degree. C. in an aqueous liquor containing, as leveling agents, emulsions of aliphatic esters, nitriles or ketones each containing from 7 to 16 carbon atoms, level shades being obtained.

A levelling auxiliary for dyeing fibrous material of polyamide fibers with acid dyes in the acid pH range in the presence of a mixture which contains (based on the solids in each case) from 30 to 90% by weight of a surfactant having sulfonic acid groups and from 10 to 70% by weight of an oxyethylated polyamide which has been prepared by the reaction of 1 part by weight of polyamide with from 2.5 to 3.5 parts by weight of ethylene oxide. Level dyeings devoid of streaks are obtained.

Levelling auxiliaries for acid dyes

Polyester fibers are dyed level shades at above 100.degree. C with disperse dyes from an aqueous liquor containing emulsions of aliphatic alcohols of 8 to 12 carbon atoms.
