For improving the load-change behavior of a motor vehicle when driving through a curve, the motor vehicle is provided with a lockable differential continuously activatable in its locking action. The activation of the locking differential takes place in the first instance in two steps dependent on power output, whereby a velocity-dependent characteristic may be superimposed additionally on this power output-dependent control.

Controller for lockable differential transmission

For improving the load-change behavior of a four-wheel drive motor vehicle when driving through curves, the vehicle is provided with a longitudinal clutch continuously controllable and with a lockable differential continuously controllable in its locking action. The activation of the longitudinal clutch takes place in the first instance in dependence on velocity whereas the activation of the lockable differential is undertaken in the first instance in two stages dependent on power output whereby a velocity-dependent characteristic can additionally be super-imposed on this power output dependent control.

Arrangement for the control of the power transmission of a four-wheel

A central locking arrangement for wheels of motor vehicles with a centrally aranged threaded bush which is connected with a joint shaft, whereby the bush retainingly receives the wheel under interposition of a wheel hub. An anti-rotation protecting sleeve which is arranged inside of the threaded bush is connected with the joint shaft and the bush. The anti-rotation protecting sleeve is form-lockingly connected with its free end opposite the joint shaft with a lockable anti-threft protecting lock adapted to be inserted in the bush. The threaded bush includes a longitudinal bore with a polygonally shaped section that serves for the work-tool engagement and in which the protecting sleeve is retained by way of a corresponding outer contour.

Central locking arrangement

A wheel suspension arrangement is provided for the front nondriven wheel of a motor vehicle. This arrangement includes a lower guide rod linkage connecting the wheel carrier to the vehicle frame, as well as an upper guide rod linkage also guidingly connecting the wheel carrier with the vehicle frame. The upper guide rod linkage is elastically supported at respective front and rear elastic guide rod bearings carried by a longitudinally extending axle fixed to the vehicle frame. These front and gear guide rod bearings include elastic material which is either cut away internally to form kidney-shaped recesses or is reinforced such that the bearings exhibit different elasticities depending upon the relative direction of movement of the upper guide rod linkage and the frame in the vehicle horizontal transverse direction. Axial stops are provided at the axle supporting the guide rod bearings so as to permit a greater axial movability of the upper guide rod linkage in a direction opposite to the direction of vehicle driving than in the vehicle driving direction.
