Methods and systems for detecting and responding to impaired drivers are disclosed. The methods intelligently alert and route a user driver's vehicle to improve driving safety based on a predicted path of an impaired driver. The method shares data collected by vehicles in an area to determine which that a vehicle has an impaired driver. The method associates cones of certainty with such a vehicle to establish where the vehicle is likely to travel in the future. If the system determines there is a likelihood of accident based on a proximity to these cones of certainty, an alert can be presented to a user driver of a proximate vehicle. The method also generates routes that avoid or limit the user driver's exposure to the impaired driver's vehicle, such as by suggesting detours or automatically controlling the user driver's vehicle to avoid the path of the impaired driver.

Impaired driver warning and avoidance system

A system and method for modifying one or more vehicle control systems in a target vehicle prior to a collision with an approaching vehicle are disclosed. The system and method include detecting that a collision is imminent and controlling one or more vehicle control systems automatically to change the impact duration and/or location, depending on the type of collision detected.

System and method for pre-collision adjustments in vehicles

A system and method provide a two-way pager system. Members use pager systems to communicate in situations where they lack power or access to other modes of communication. For example, the pagers have a switching system that allows users to broadcast information about their current situation in an emergency. For example, the system could use switches that could be set to three different settings. Separate switches could be used for different categories of resources required in an emergency, and the switches could take on settings that represent resource requirements and availability. A centralized system listens for pages from users' pagers that transmit the switch settings for the categories. The centralized system then determines which users lack certain resources, which users have sufficient resources, and which users need certain resources. The system then transmits information through the pager network to inform users where to find resources that they are lacking.

Two way pager system

A communication device is disclosed. Specifically, the communication device may be a telephone service powered hotspot that plugs into a telephone jack of a Public Switched Telephone Network. The telephone plug of the hotspot provides power and a telephone connection for the hotspot. The hotspot may include a modem that can use the telephone connection to connect the hotspot to an Internet Service Provider. By using such a connection, the modem can provide dial-up internet connectivity for the hotspot. The hotspot can use the power supply to provide a wired or wireless power source for nearby devices after a disaster disables usual power sources. The hotspot can use the internet access from the modem to provide wired or wireless internet access for the nearby devices. However, because dial-up connectivity can have a very limited bandwidth, the hotspot may throttle applications when the bandwidth requires such throttling.

Telephone service powered hotspot

A system and method for using wearable device data and data gathered from a vehicle's onboard sensors to provide a more accurate and/or robust set of information about an accident. In one embodiment, a smartwatch is connected to the CAN bus of a vehicle so that data can be transmitted between the watch and onboard sensors. In one embodiment, onboard vehicle sensors may detect a sudden deceleration indicating that an accident may have occurred. At the same time, data from an occupant of the vehicle can be used to confirm if the occupant experienced a sudden deceleration at the same time, indicating that a crash has occurred.

System and method for vehicle collision analysis

A method and system of providing guidance and information to an end-user during an emergency situation. A network of beacon devices is arranged throughout different rooms of a physical structure, such as a house. When an emergency situation such as a fire is detected, for example via data collected from one or more smart sensors installed in the house, a navigation server can activate the beacon device network. Each beacon device will begin to provide navigation cues such as audio content and/or light display that guide the end-user to the nearest designated exit.

Systems and methods for automatic deployment of self-inflatable vehicle covering apparatus

A method of providing a dynamic go-bag service to a user is described. The go-bag contains various supplies and important documents, and is configured to protect these contents during an emergency situation. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving user information from a user, including information about the user, the user's family, and the user's home or residence. Based on the received user information, the method further includes generating a customized go-bag for the user that includes contents specific for the user to use in an emergency situation. The method also includes providing the customized go-bag to the user.

Dynamic go-bag service for emergency situations

The embodiments provide a system and method for maintaining real estate data in a secure manner. Access to the data for a given real estate property is restricted by using an authentication device that is physically located at the same real estate property. The authentication device may provide a rolling authentication code that can be entered by the user requesting access to the data. In another embodiment, access to the data for a given real estate property is restricted by using a real estate data unit that is physically stored on the premises. Access to the data may therefore be restricted to users who are close enough to connect with the data unit via wired or wireless communication methods. The data unit and/or authentication device may include a device housing and an installation portion. The installation portion may be configured to attach to part of a building and/or lot.

System and method for maintaining real estate data in a secure manner

A method and system of intelligently deploying protective structures along the sides of a vehicle in order to protect the vehicle from damage is disclosed. The vehicle includes two protective structures such as bumpers that are each stored in a retracted position during normal vehicle operations. The system receives data collected by sensors in the vehicle to determine whether an accident is likely. If the system determines there is a high likelihood that an accident will occur, one or both protective structures can be deployed from the sides of the vehicle to protect the body of the vehicle from damage.

An autonomous data container and methods of use are disclosed. The autonomous data container includes a data storage structure for storing financial transaction information. The autonomous data container also includes an artificially intelligent agent stored as code within the container. The artificially intelligent agent can run on a system storing the autonomous data container. The artificially intelligent agent can access transaction information in the data storage structure and make predictions and/or decisions on a consumer's behalf. The artificially intelligent agent can make new purchases on the consumer's behalf. The artificially intelligent agent can also provide fraud alerts for the consumer.

Systems and methods for detecting items at a property

A warming device is disclosed. The warming device includes an interior void that is sized to accommodate an exterior plumbing fixture, like an outside faucet. The warming device includes a heating member that is automatically activated in response to a change in temperature. When activated, the heating member generates heat to help protect the exterior plumbing fixture from the elements.

Thermally activated warmer

A power supplying device that can be used during emergencies is disclosed. The device comprises multiple adjustable battery compartments that can be connected, via switches, to deliver power to an external device connected to at least one power delivery port of the power supplying device. Each adjustable battery compartment includes a fixed lead and a sliding lead so that the multiple different battery sizes can be inserted into the compartment and connected to the device. The device includes an intelligent power management system that can automatically detect power requirements for the external device as well as the maximum available voltage from any batteries inserted into the adjustable battery compartments. Using this information the intelligent power management system can open switches to provide the required voltage from a selected subset of batteries in the device, while leaving the remaining batteries disconnected.

Emergency power supplying device

A package in which an onboard computing system and a plurality of sensor devices are embedded. The package includes a plurality of cameras that are positioned against sidewalls of the package in order to capture image data of the external environment. When the computing system determines the package has arrived at a predesignated set of coordinates corresponding to a target property for which an appraisal is to be performed, the cameras are activated and begin collecting image data. The image data is transmitted to a remote server which will store the image data for review by insurance personnel.
