An arrangement is provided for determining a spatial orientation of a line portion unrolled from a cable drum. The arrangement includes a fastening base and a measuring probe having a cable guide and being pivotable in relation to the fastening base about a first and second axes of rotation. The measuring probe is configured to interact with a sensor device, and the sensor device is configured to sense the first and second axes of rotation.

Arrangement for determining a spatial orientation of a line portion unwound from a cable drum

An electrohydraulic steer-by-wire steering system has an operator interface for specifying a turning angle, which is associated with a sensor for the acquisition of a position or movement of the operator interface. An electronic control device is connected to a first electrohydraulic circuit and to a second electrohydraulic circuit and set up in order to actuate the two electrohydraulic circuits as a function of a signal from the sensor. The system further includes a steering actuator for adjusting the turning angle of a steerable wheel. The steering actuator has two chambers each of which is connected simultaneously to the two electrohydraulic circuits.

Electrohydraulic steer-by-wire steering system

A pedal displacement sensor includes an actuating lever and a switching element. The actuating lever is arranged in a housing, is rotatably supported on a rotational axis, and can be rotated by a pedal. The actuating element of the switching element is actuated by rotating the actuating lever. The housing of the pedal displacement sensor has an opening. The actuating lever extends through the opening to an end which engages the pedal. The actuating lever includes first and second arms which form an angle lever. The first arm is rotatably supported in the housing. The second arm extends through the opening to an end face which contacts the pedal lever. The actuating lever preferably also acts upon a transducer such as a Hall sensor and a permanent magnet.

Pedal displacement sensor

A two-stage brake valve, has a pair of stages with different effective areas which become effective in succession upon an actuation of the valve, including a larger area fill chamber and a smaller area pressure chamber. A fill stage pressure relief valve is connected between the fill chamber and a reservoir. The relief valve includes a valve element, which is exposed to the pressure in the reservoir and spring force, and which is exposed to pressure in the fill chamber, so that it opens upon a pre-set brake pressure existing in the fill chamber. The relief valve also includes a pressure relief piston which can be exposed to the pressure in the fill chamber, and which can be exposed to the pressure in the pressure chamber. The piston has a free end which engages the valve element, and forces the valve element in its opening direction with increasing pressure difference between the pressure chamber and the fill chamber.

Two stage brake valve

A vehicle brake control valve includes a piston assembly which is movable a stepped cylindrical bore of a valve housing in response to an actuating force against the force of a spring. The piston assembly includes port control edges which control communication between a brake pressure chamber which can be connected to the vehicle brakes, a reservoir, and a pump. Both the pump and the actuating force contribute to the brake pressure which builds up in the brake pressure chamber. The piston assembly includes an actuator piston and an annular piston that sealingly slides within a larger portion of the stepped bore. After the actuator piston moves a pre-set distance (H) it carries with it the annular piston. The annular piston, the actuator piston and a wall of the larger diameter portion of the stepped bore enclose a fill pressure chamber which is separated from the brake pressure chamber to achieve two-stage pressure build-up during manual braking (emergency braking) when the pump is inoperative. The fill pressure chamber and the brake pressure chamber are connected to each other via a pressure reducing valve which opens towards the brake pressure chamber.

Brake control valve

A hydraulic system includes a hydraulic pump, a reservoir, a hydraulic function, such as a cylinder, and a power beyond valve for controlling communication between the pump, the reservoir and the cylinder. The pump provides pressurized fluid at a pump output as a function of the pressure in a load sensing port. For generating a pump controlling load sensing signal in case that the cylinder does not generate such a signal, it is proposed to provide a valve which blocks in a first position or opens in a second position communication between the feed line of the cylinder and the load sensing port of the pump. The valve functions in dependence of control pressures acting on each side of a valve member. A spring is provided biased to urge the valve member to its first closed position. Further, shift valve means are provided to supply selectively different pressures to both sides of the valve member. In an open-center hydraulic system, the valve means the shift valve means connects the first side of the valve member to the reservoir and the second side of the valve member to the feed line. In a closed-center system, the shift valve means will be changed over to connect the first side of the valve member to the feed line and the second side of the valve member to the pump outlet.

Hydraulic system for open or closed-centered systems

A position sensor assembly for sensing the rotary position of a rockshaft of a hitch mechanism includes a rotary potentiometer coupled to the rockshaft. The rockshaft is enclosed in a rockshaft housing and a sensor housing is attached to the rockshaft housing. The potentiometer is attached to an outside surface of the sensor housing and has a sensor shaft which extends through a portion of the sensor housing. The position sensor has a first set of gear teeth on the rockshaft meshing with a second set of gear teeth on the sensor shaft. The sensor housing at least partially encloses the second set of gear teeth. The first and second sets of gear teeth are preferably configured as gear segments. The sensor shaft is supported for rotation by the sensor housing. The potentiometer is preferably a spring-pre-loaded potentiometer. A second spring is mounted on the second set of gear teeth and is engagable with a wall of the sensor housing to define an assembly position.

Shaft rotary position sensor

A force sensor has a hollow flexible body with a fixed end and a free end. The force to be measured is applied perpendicular to the axis of the flexible body by a link coupled to the free end. A rigid gauge rod is connected to the free end of the flexible body and extends through the interior of the flexible body. The rod carries on its free end a permanent magnet which is near a Hall-effect sensor which is fixed to the fixed end of the body. The flexible body has a relatively low bending stiffness at its free end (in the area of force application) and an increasing bending stiffness towards its fixed end. The flexible body has a relatively low bending stiffness in the direction of force application and a higher bending stiffness in a perpendicular direction. The permanent magnet is arranged so that its poles are aligned parallel to the direction of force application.

Force sensor

A valve control system includes a stepping motor coupled to an eccentric via a clutch. A valve member is urged into engagement with the eccentric by a spring. Rotation of the eccentric causes axial movement of the valve member which controls fluid flow through the valve. A detent releasably holds the eccentric in a neutral position.

Control system for a valve

A control system for the hitch of a tractor includes a motor for moving the mechanical control linkages connected to a hitch control valve, the motor being in the form of an electric motor. The motor is controlled by way of an electrical circuit which includes a main switch, one or more secondary switches which are disposed outside a driving cabin, and a safety switch. The safety switch permits flow of current to the motor only when positional regulation is selected by a hitch control mode selector lever.

Actuating arrangement for a power lift

A valve includes a valve housing having a valve bore with a first valve member movable therein to control fluid communication between a pump, a reservoir and a hydraulic function. The first valve member includes annular grooves which receive pressure controlled seals. A second valve member is movable in the valve bore and is connected to an actuator. The first and second valve members cooperate to form a pre-control valve which controls pressurization of the pressure controlled seals. The second valve member also connects the actuator with the first valve member so that the seals are relieved of pressure before the first valve member is moved.

Control valve

An improved bushing assembly which includes a housing having a cylindrical bore formed therein. A bushing is engageable in the cylindrical bore of the housing and is journaled onto a rotatable shaft which extends out of the housing so as to be attached to a drive mechanism. The bushing contains a smooth internal bore and has a stepped outer circumferential profile. The profile includes a smooth circular lead-in surface with an external diameter approximately equal to the diameter of the cylindrical bore, a larger diameter surface containing self-tapping threads for positively engaging an inner portion of the housing which surrounds the cylindrical bore, and a collar formed adjacent to the threads and opposite to the lead-in surface. The collar has a tool receiving configuration so as to accept a tool for threading the bushing into the cylindrical bore. A thrust bearing is mounted on the rotatable shaft and is sandwiched between a shoulder on the shaft and the lead-in end of the bushing. By threading the bushing into the cylindrical bore, one is able to obtain a desired preload on the thrust bearing thereby assuring accurate positioning of the rotatable shaft.

An improved hydraulic control valve is disclosed for providing the metering of fluid to a steering arrangement such as that normally employed on a motorized vehicle. The steering arrangement includes a piston-cylinder assembly, a main pump for supplying pressurized fluid from a fluid reservoir to the control valve and a control pump connected to the control valve which is actuated by a manually operated steering mechanism. The improved control valve includes a housing having an elongated bore formed therein. Movably positioned within the bore is a valve spool which has at least three annular grooves formed thereon separated by a pair of lands. The valve spool also contains a longitudinal bore formed therein which intersects a transverse bore which opens into the centrally positioned annular groove. The valve spool cooperates with the elongated bore to form control pressure chambers at each end thereof. Also positioned at each end of the valve spool are check valves which are closed when the valve spool is in a neutral position and which open when the valve spool is subjected to pressure loading. Fluid flow through the valve is directed by a plurality of passages formed in the housing. One of the passages connects the main pump to the elongated bore, while two working passages connect opposite ends of the piston-cylinder assembly to the elongated bore approximate the outer two annular grooves which are formed in the valve spool. There are also two control passages connecting the opposite ends of the control pump to the elongated bore approximate the pair of lands formed on the valve spool and at least one reservoir passage connecting the reservoir to the elongated bore approximately between an outer end of the valve spool and the outer annular groove formed thereon. This improved hydraulic control valve can be used for any constant pressure system.
