An apparatus and method for a power-efficient framework to maintain data synchronization of a mobile personal computer (MPC) are described. In one embodiment, the method includes the detection of a data synchronization wakeup event while the MPC is operating according to a sleep state. Subsequent to wakeup event, at least one system resource is disabled to provide a minimum number of system resources required to re-establish a network connection. In one embodiment, user data from a network server is synchronized on the MPC without user intervention; the mobile platform system resumes operation according to the sleep state. In one embodiment, a wakeup alarm is programmed according to a user history profile regarding received e-mails. In a further embodiment, data synchronizing involves disabling a display, and throttling the system processor to operate at a reduced frequency. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

A highly parallel programmable packet editing engine with a scalable control infrastructure includes receiving an ingress packet having one or more headers; assigning, by one or more processors, the one or more headers of the ingress packet to a number of zones, wherein each zone is a grouping of adjacent headers that are closely related to one another by information content or processing type; performing, by the one or more processors, offset computations for the one or more headers in a zone concurrently with offset computations of headers assigned to other zones; performing, by the one or more processors, different header operations on the one or more headers concurrently with respective ones of a plurality of editing engines; combining, by the one or more processors, the edited one or more headers at the computed offsets to generate a modified egress packet; and providing, for transmission, the modified egress packet.

Highly parallel programmable packet editing engine with a scalable control infrastructure

Techniques are provided for training of a text independent (TI) speaker recognition (SR) model. A methodology implementing the techniques according to an embodiment includes measuring context data associated with collected TI speech utterances from a user and identifying the user based on received identity measurements. The method further includes performing a speech quality analysis and a speaker state analysis based on the utterances, and evaluating a training merit value of the utterances, based on the speech quality analysis and the speaker state analysis. If the training merit value exceeds a threshold value, the utterances are stored as training data in a training database. The database is indexed by the user identity and the context data. The method further includes determining whether the stored training data has achieved a sufficiency level for enrollment of a TI SR model, and training the TI SR model for the identified user and context.

Context-aware enrollment for text independent speaker recognition

Technologies are described herein that allow a user to wake up a computing device operating in a low-power state and for the user to be verified by speaking a single wake phrase. Wake phrase recognition is performed by a low-power engine. In some embodiments, the low-power engine may also perform speaker verification. In other embodiments, the mobile device wakes up after a wake phrase is recognized and a component other than the low-power engine performs speaker verification on a portion of the audio input comprising the wake phrase. More than one wake phrases may be associated with a particular user, and separate users may be associated with different wake phrases. Different wake phrases may cause the device transition from a low-power state to various active states.

Mechanism and apparatus for seamless voice wake and speaker verification

A method and system for protection switching distributes responsibility for action between a central controller and network elements at endpoints of a linear point-to-point network path. The central controller may be configured to support protection switching by network elements at endpoints of a linear point-to-point path, such that the network elements perform protection switching independently and without direct involvement and/or dependency of the central controller. Simultaneously, the central controller may remain aware of network element actions, events, and states with regard to protection switching, by receiving corresponding notifications from the network elements.

An apparatus, a system and a method for securing sensor data by a security engine circuitry of a system on chip (SoC). For example, the security engine may receive from a processor circuitry of the SoC an inter processor communication (IPC) request to secure sensor data, and may send to an integrated sensor hub (ISH) of the SoC an IPC request to receive sensor data. The ISH may collect sensor data from one or more internal and/or external sensors, and may send the collected sensor data to the security engine. The security engine may receive the collected sensor data from the ISH, may secure the collected sensor data, and may send secured sensor data to the processor circuitry.

A method for priority-based protection includes assigning a priority to each of a plurality of flows associated with a plurality of working paths, wherein each of the plurality of the flows has a unique priority. The method also includes determining that one or more of the working paths has failed, and determining the available bandwidth on a protection path upon the failure of the one or more of the working paths. In addition, the method includes determining the priority of the flows on the one or more failed working paths, and switching two or more flows from the one or more failed working paths to the protection path based on at least the priority of the two or more flows, the bandwidth of the working path and the available bandwidth on the protected path.

A switch includes a processor coupled to a memory, one or more forwarding tables residing within the memory, and one or more ports. The ports are associated with a plurality of virtual local area networks and a plurality of bridge domains. Each of the bridge domains is associated with one of the forwarding tables, and each of the forwarding tables is associated with one of the bridge domains. The processor is configured to assign a first tag to a received packet, assign a second tag to the received packet, look up the destination address of the received packet in one of the forwarding tables, and selectively flood the ports of the active bridge domain with a copy of the received packet. The active bridge domain includes one of the plurality of bridge domains. The active bridge domain is associated with the ingress port of the received packet.

Method and system for implementing network element-level redundancy

A first network element is coupled to a second network element via a first path of a first point-to-point network, the first network element is coupled to a third network element via a second path of the first-point-to-point network, the second network element is coupled to a fourth network element via a first path of a second point-to-point network, and the third network element is coupled to the fourth network element via a second path of the second point-to-point network. The paths of the first point-to-point network are configured as paths of a first linear protected switching connection and the paths of the second point-to-point network are configured as paths of a second linear protected switching connection such that traffic communicated between the first network element and the fourth network element via the first paths may be switched over to the second paths.

According to one embodiment, a method may include communicatively coupling a first network element to a second network element via a first path of a point-to-point network. The method may also include communicatively coupling the first network element to a third network element via a second path of the point-to-point network. The method may further include configuring the first path and the second path as paths of a linear protected switching connection such that traffic associated with a service and communicated via one of the first path and the second path may be switched over to the other of the first path and the second path in response to an event.
